To me this is the best esc for micros period! It’s worth the cost. I think I paid 75ish for the top of the line waterproof version with Bluetooth dongle.

75 + 16 for the reverse surpass mount on eBay + 20 bucks for the surpass motor make this thing a super beast! It literally moves so slow you have to look twice to make sure it’s moving.

My mamba micro X with the surpass was so loud. The furitek is silent. I hear NO WHINE at all.

Plus, the tegu version is same size as stock esc. So it goes right in place of the stock one on the tray. The reverse surpass motor mount on eBay doesn’t require you cutting the tray up and you just flip the battery tray and your done!

I highly recommend this setup!

I completely agree wirh you. I had a castle on backorder and have since canceled the order. Looks like you and I have nearly the same setup. Btw have you tried using a 3S battery?; im still having issues running it with that setup.

I have not tried 3S on the tegu yet. I did try it on the mamba though. It was too big to fit and a little too snappy for me so I went back to 2S.

Are you saying the furitek tegu doesn’t like 3S?

This is the throttle curve I program on to all the Lizards I ship.
Makes it easier to hit the super slow crawl mode.

Thanks. I will have to give that a try. I did noticed that the tegu ESC seems to give you super slow motion speed at first and then it kind of switches over to normal throttle modulation. In my case, I felt like it was super super slow mode, then clunks into 2nd and also goes slow. But whatever that super slow mode to normal mode switch over is, I can see and feel in my truck.

I had to dial the FOC setting to 50% and my punch setting to 2, to stop that.

Yes, the tegu I have, can't seem to work properly when 3S is used. One of the reasons i chose the tegu was that you can change the settings to manage the 3S power output and I personally prefer 3S power to get my rigs out of situations. Both of my rigs have one inch of belly clearance and it helps when 3S is used. I have yet too see others try 3S on a tegu.
