Default SCX24’s for everyone! (My build)

Parts list:
Standard 1:20 Toyota model
RC4WD stinger from a Glendale/black rock
Hacked up scx24 body used for interior and the faux lighting.
RC4WD metal gear servo
HR brass diff covers, knuckles, aluminum skid and transmission case.
RC4WD wheels, with Orlandoo hunter wheel weights pressed into them, Mickey Thompson tires.
ECX barrage truggy cage, with custom diamond plate panels and scale accessories from tiny 4x4.

I have a couple more custom scx24 as well, if anyone’s interested in seeing them too I can share. This one is my baby though and all the weight is in the axles so she STAYS PLANTED Lol

I didn't know scx24 have so many upgrades already but on other hand I'm always behind everything new.
Super nice rig!I really like diamond plated back cage. What you use for it?And yes I want to see rest of the "family".

Yes, lots available from HR (Hot Racing) and some others already! Rear cage bed looks like ECX Barrage 1/24th which also has a 1985-ish lexan Toyota cab.

Nice Rig!

I think these are going to be the next big thing. I seen a post on FB from The Crawl Space in Colorado saying the new Jeep Wrangler JLU/CRC version is coming out in October, if enough people jump on these they will start having scale micro competitions. And from the looks of yours there's already some cool aftermarket parts coming out for them.

Hobby Lobby sells 1:24 scale static models that would make for some interesting vehicle choices for everyone.

Post up your other rigs. I'm sure you are helping to get the 24th Scalers going!

They’re up for pre order on rpp already. It’s super tempting. Especially when the whole rtr is only $120!

Loving the pics and they should be popular, they are awesome and affordable. I bought one as soon as they came out and have resisted upgrading. I usually wait for things to break and then feel I deserve the upgrade. The new bodies on them get me excited so can you post up a detailed underneath pic of how you mount the bodies? I think that is something that would make it more fun for me and not be something I would mind doing if simplish.

It’s pretty hard to get shots of how I mounted them. It’s wonky, but man it works perfect and is still removable. Wait for it....... hot glue couple dabs on the front bumper behind body and a couple in back where body contacts mounts (with posts removed). It’s actually very solid and completely unnoticeable! Occasionally you’ll pop a mounting point off, but pop the old glue off and redo and you’re golden.
