My new Axial SCX24

Hey guys, I'm new here. I recently purchased the Axial 1/24 Deadbolt micro crawler and I'm loving it! I bought a Losi 1/24 micro Trail Trekker a few years back, and recently when I dug it out again found a gear in the transmission was stripped. Not being able to find replacement parts for the Losi I did some research online (mostly this board) and found out Losi discontinued the Trail Trekker, but Axial makes something similar now. The Deadbolt is a ton of fun. It loves crawling through the river rock in my yard. This is my first R/C with a LiPo battery and the run time is a lot longer than I remember with my Losi. I've already run it for 30+ minutes and it's still going.

One question... When I turn at full speed on flat ground it gets kind of jerky. Is this normal?

Have you changed the servo, body or shocks? Or have you added bigger tires? Sounds like the fronts are rubbing at full turn. You may only notice it while driving & the shocks compress.
Forgot what the stock transmitter looks like but you can likely adjust your steering dual rate to get a little less steering.

It is locked front and rear diffs

One wheel has to spin faster/slower than the other when turning. It can't so it hops

Good point. I was imagining something more dramatic ;-)

Thanks guys! It is completely stock so I figured it was not a problem, I was just curious. It's not like a do a lot full speed turns on flat ground anyway. :)
