Best tire forSCX24
 

There seems to be many tires to choose from. I want a soft and sticky tire.

Which one do you recommend?

Tires are all personal preference. Any "comp" compound tire from RC4WD will be an improvement over the stock tires in terms of grip. Tire size is another personal preference. I have the Jeep JLU and I feel the stock tires are way too big for the rig as the tire size is not really scale to the body, but they look scale on the deadbolt. Take a look at RC4WD tires and they have the specs listed for them to help you decide on what will look good on the rig. Good Luck!!

I'm using the RC4WD 1.0 MTR's on mine... just a touch smaller than stock. The rubber is soft and supple and the foams are imo perfect. These tires grip well and are aggressive enough to grab on a variety of terrain.

SCRAMBLERS with cralwer innovation super soft micro tire foam hands down the best gummy tire with squishy grip.

Just got the rc4wd boggers. Any issues mounting them on stock scx24 kmc machete rims? Do they fit properly

Can highly recommend the Milestar Patagonia. Super grippy and just the right OD and width for the Jeep body in my opinion [emoji106]

I've got the RC4WD Goodyear Wrangler MTRs on mine and they are REALLY nice. And obviously look completely scale since it's a real tire. Highly recommended.

At first I had a set of rock crushers. They are too small IMO to be considered an upgrade. Also I'm not sure if it was just the terrain I was crawling or the fact that I ran foams with them but they gripped less than the stock tires. I bought a set of MTRs and went no foams and non-vented and I'm super happy with them. Shorter than the stock tire but not nearly as short as the rock crushers. The open lug style grips WAY better and not running foams while not venting the tire allows the tire to conform well. My only complaint with this setup is the tire will roll over pretty easily. I may try to 3d print an insert of some sort to stiffen up the sidewall a bit to keep it from rolling so much.

Did you ever mount this combo? I have the same tires, and actually found a set of the KMC Machete wheels, so I ordered them.

Currently running the stock Nittos on my JLU, they are ok, but I don't care for how huge they look, and I'm sure the softer compound of the Boggers will be amazing, for both grip and looks!

Those tires have an inside and outside. Your left side tires, at least the front appears to be on backwards.

I've liked the MT-R's and Baja claws, MT-R's are maybe a bit better.

The Scramblers are far too large in height IMO an I think they also look out of place. Actually I'm just remembering a buddy who had the original 1/10 scale Deadbolt converted to a monster truck/crawler which couldn't crawl at all, definitely reminds me of that top heavy mess. Side note/Rant: Questions framed around whats best are the worst, most of the time there is no "best" just a lot of good choices and opinions. Instead maybe ask whats good or what people like. Take my opinion on Scramblers for example, many folks love them.
