Default Hot racing shocks for scx24

Oil filled.
I seen someone using them on FB.
They say they like them.
No specs though on length.
Anyone use them? Are they good?
Worth the money as far as being capable and soft or are they stiff?
Currently using a hybrid mix of stock and hobbyplus and they are “ok”

Friction shocks imply they are not oil filled, I've seen mixed reviews. Some say they are sticky or had QC issues, Though I'm still tempted to get a set and see for myself.

The last generation HR shocks looked cool, but they sucked. Mine would bind up a lot. These look much nicer quality so who knows. But the carisma oil shocks work very well on the SCX24. And with the Carisma oil shocks, I beleive the stock SCX shock spring fits on it.

Do you have link for the carisma?
I don’t mind my hybrids, they are working decent (stock and hobbyplus combined). But just keeping an eye on something better.

I got mine from Carisma directly These are harder to mount due to the ball end hole being much bigger than the stock ball ends. But I got mine installed with parts I had laying around from all the micro shocks Ive bought...lol.

Those HR shocks actually look decent compared to the the older version seen here.

These 43mm shocks are on my RC4WD mini black jack which is rather heavy for a mini. And the piston binds big time in the shaft. I had to polish my piston head some for it to not scrape the inner barrel so much. These I DO NOT recommend.

They look pretty tempting... but HR hasn't had the best stuff from experience... Which is more than enough to keep me away from them

although I did grab a set of thier aluminum links

For springs I'm thinking of just cutting up some spare small springs and making a dual rate setup

Bunch of SCX24 parts just came in the mail too!

I got new tires coming that will fit stock wheels
New stock wheels
hR alum bumper back in stock now

Mine is running great with all the upgrades
I think I’m about done except for better shocks or rebuilding Mine and getting them smoother.
My upgrades cost more then the truck now
