| Scx24 Allen key size?
All my high end Allen keys stop at 1.5mm. I have the one it came with, but want to buy a decent wrench. Is this thing .9mm, 1mm metric? 1.3mm? Standard .5? Sorry but I couldn’t find and I am sick of the generic wrench supplied.

According to my vernier gauge it’s 1.27mm. So I grabbed a 1.27mm from my other tools and it’s a perfect fit. Scx24 crc. Crawler 1/24 Wltoys a212. Shortcourse 1/24 Wltoys k969. Drifty 1/28 |

Yeah, I bought a .05" MIP driver and it works perfectly as well.

Thanks fellers! I’ll assume the 1.3mm is going to be the official size. .05 standard is nearly same I believe. I like the Wera precision Allen drivers and it was driving me crazy wondering what exact size these tiny screws are.

1.3 will fit, but it (or mine does) sticks a little, not always a bad thing in my mind. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk |

I’m currently using the MIP .050 hex driver with great success. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've noticed that ball-end drivers in these super small sizes are definitely more prone to getting hung up in the hex heads... just an observation.

I ordered the wera 1.3mm and the .05 MIP speed bit. The sizes should be the same. Plan to use the wera for tightening things down, and I’ll have the speed bit to extract with my screw gun if need it. No more cramped fingers for this guy. Thanks for the help!

Someone on Thingiverse uploaded a handle for the provided L allen wrench, put it in the handle and you have a decent tool. I haven't tried it but it must be better than the L wrench. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3736787 |

Good advice Jimbo, I use the Banggood wowstick, and it’s easy to over tighten/strip threads so tend to do last bit with an old fashioned L key. Scx24 crc. Crawler 1/24 Wltoys a212. Shortcourse 1/24 Wltoys k969. Drifty 1/28 | |
