Looking great. My build will almost be identical once all the parts arrive. I haven't looked at the sliders yet. May have to get a set of those as well. |

The sliders are nice. Although I’m probably going to have to mod them once the parts for 4 wheel steering arrive Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cool build. One thing though. Those are not my rock sliders that you have pictured.

My bad. I’ve ordered so much stuff lately I assumed I got them from Shapeways. Is there a way you could do a modified version to accommodate rear steer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by PFongemie; 05-05-2020 at 06:18 AM.

Great looking Deadbolt! I have one on the way. I'd love to get my hands on those Scrambler tires and some wheels, but no such luck.

The wheels came from EBay and the tires direct from RC4WD. I added my email to their waiting list so I was notified when they came back in stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What are your thoughts on the steel drive shaft? Mine feels a bit lose on my rig. it is missing the notch at the connection point with the worm gear and it doesn't fit as snuggly at that point as the factory plastic shaft does. Not sure that it causes a problem. I don't notice a difference when running it.

So far I’m liking it. Mines also loose on both the worm end and the transmission side. Haven’t noticed any difference then the stock. In my opinion it just looks better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just had a quick question about those shocks. I notice when you are set flat that the shock appears to be fully compressed. Is that what is happening? If so, couldn't you put the springs on and just mount the shocks up higher in the screw holes above the ones you have them in? Just curious. Those shocks look sweet, just really wondering how they perform, before I go and order some.

I could mount them higher and probably will once I figure out softer springs. Where they are now gives me more bumper clearance. The stock springs are way to stiff. But they work great with the droop set up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Swapped out the servos to SaVox micro. Replaced wheels with Raceline Monster beadlock. Replaced steering links with HR aluminum. Installed HR center skid plate. Added rear steering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Deadbolt looking good! Nice, how's the size of that servo compared to stock? Looks like you used spacers under mounting screws or did it fit right? No brown outs or annoying noise? Wheels look good too, why did you swap out the white steelies? |

The servos are the same size as the emax. I have the SaVox servo mount from shapeways up front and the stock mount in back. There’s a slight buzz from the rear. But the amount of time I use it is minimal. I mounted the white steelies on my other scx24 with the 67 Chevy body. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finished installing the Spektrum Firma 40 receiver/esc. It’s a little tight. Had to eliminate he esc tray. I drilled small holes in the bottom of the new esc and drilled new holes in the frame to mount. Added magnets to the top for the body mount. Ran wires best I could without shortening any(future project). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nice Spektrum ESC/RX all in one setup, is the throttle smoother with this setup over stock esc combo? Nice servo switch tutorial link too. I’ve got s barrage motor NIP, are the pinion gears same pitch, number of teeth? I counted 12T pinion that comes with Barrage motor. Last edited by Natedog; 06-07-2020 at 11:40 PM. |

It’s definitely smoother over stock. But I changed out the esc for a Castle Sidewinder micro 2. Tucked under the battery tray. Which is also smooth. Also a lot lighter and gives me the option to go brushless (when I can find one small enough). As far as the gears, I’m not sure. When I installed the barrage motor I also installed the HR .5 spur gear conversion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
