I was using RC4WD breakers before, but those are going to long term custom SCX24 I am working on. I also have the revolvers, which look like the stock C10s. My local shop is completely out of stock of SCX24s and parts lol. Had to go out of town to find these. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This morning when I got home from work I installed the Hot Racing aluminum front bumper mount and aluminum steering links on my SCX24 Jeep. Still waiting on the brass diff cover and steering knuckles to show up. |

Added brass steering knuckles. One of the inner bearing fell apart so I ordered some fast eddies. Still working on mounting the revolver motor. Ordered a few different pinions for it. One day it will be done. |

Made in an indoor crawling course for my little Jeep. Ended up being way too small so I'll just use it as a display stand instead. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk Last edited by JimK; 02-28-2021 at 08:30 PM. |

Got new tires and beadlock rims from RC4WD, been super happy with 'em, the tires are so much grippier than stock, and the weight the rims add helps a lot. Unfortunately after running 'em the locknut holding one of the tires came off and disappeared into the dirt! And despite all the extra hardware I have from other RCs, I don't have any locknuts that small! Amain doesn't seem to have 'em, Amazon prime is still backed up and gonna take a week to get 'em to me, and I'm probably too sick to make a run to my local hobby shop . |

Doing all the mods to my new SCX24 Jeep: Today: Instead of buying tons of expensive brass parts, I zip tied lead solder strips to the axles which actually doesn't look horrible. raised the body by raising front posts and lowering rear swing bracket on the body. scuffed paint inside behind headlights and taillights for when my light kits come in. Painted wheels chrome with Testors Model master Chrome enamel (brush) scraped sticker off motor to let heat dissipate cut most of the sticker off ESC minus the important labels. ---still have to add brass steering knuckles...(yeah, bought those), and add some marine grease to the shocks. |

Just got mine yesterday and got the Hot Racing wheel weights in today. Also may have stopped at the local railroad to grab some rocks... Need a better motor though, it doesn't wanna crawl with these weights in low speed. Suggestions? Sent from my SM-F916U1 using Tapatalk |

Finished all my mods and added the black roof using .......electrical tape! painted wheels chrome, added door handles, and added aluminum steering links, brass steering knuckles, and zip tied solder to the axles for nice unsprung weight. I did add marine grease to the shocks which did dampen but they stick a little when bottomed out. I might add some spacers to the shocks....small zip ties were too wide...need just a touch..maybe 2mm. |

I'm a big fan of unsprung weight placed directly on the axle. I zip tied lead solder strips to each axle which added about 7g each. That weight doesn't stress the motor or steering servo. I added the brass steering knuckles, which I might remove if they strain the servo too much. All told, I have added 28g of unsprung weight, so worried it might be too much. But I am keeping the solder strips beacuse I think it's a perfect solution and actually looks kinda cool. Last edited by Slow Runner; 03-03-2021 at 06:20 AM.

I'm a complete newb to crawling. I saw a.coupld videos talking about it, so I thought it would be a good idea. I do have a Barage motor coming along with an Emax servo that I need to install still. Do you have any thoughts on the RC4WD steel beadlocks? I know it is still opposite of what you were recommending, but wasn't sure if you had experience. Any tips would be super helpful! I like the RC4WD headlocks a lot. Not a crazy amount of weight, and a nice amount of additional width. The rock creepers I have are smaller OD than stock, so that helps reduce torque required from the motor. Slowrunner: I like that black top a lot! How did you do the door handles? More tape? |

I wanted to use my vinyl to do the roof but it was too rigid and didn't conform or stick to the body anywhere near as good as the tape did. From 3 feet away you don't even see the seams. I wanted to use the tape vs. painting because paint would chip off and tape is always reversable. I can remove or re-do the roof at any time.
