Default I'm building a Mini Crawler Track

Hi all!

I got my Orlandoo Hunter crawler a week ago and I felt that driving over pillows and what not didn't really do it for me so I've started to build my own crawler track which is good fun

It's just in the beginning stages of the construction so there's a lot more to do...

Take a Look!

Cheers

Here's a little picture of what a small portion of the track will look like.

The Beetle is from Revell and in 1/35 scale so it fits perfectly with the Orlando Jeep that we have.

Some more done to the Mini Crawler Track.

I also took the Orlandoo Jeep out for a testdrive on some of the obstacles.

I can't seem to come to terms with embedding a YouTube video so a good old fashioned link have to do...

Love the way it’s coming along. I’ve built mine inside up in our loft out of real rocks which is awesome but it was a mistake because now I’m in love with it but don’t have an easy way to move and replicate it. I might slide a piece of plywood underneath and then plaster cloth it.

Thanks! My thoughts initially was to make something like yours but then it struck me that portabilty is an issue. I need to be able to bring it to meetings and such so this was my best option.

This is important to me as well. Both for our club meetings and to take to the LHS.

I have been looking around at different projects done by others.
This one

ticks off many of my wants
  • Foam so light weight
  • Sized (3' x 6'?) for good transportability
  • Multiple lines - so many small courses only offer a single line

I remember seeing a micro course setup similar to that mounted to a sheet of plywood. Less flexible, more heavy, and you hang it or stand it up on a wall when not in use. Plus it’s modular and you can add sections to it.
