Hobby Plus CR-18 Harvester Running Videos (Hill Climb, Rock Crawling)

Wanted to share a few videos of my Hobby Plus CR-18 Harvester running for anyone thinking about getting one. As you can see, the throttle control on this is very touchy and it is geared way too high.

Thinking about lots of mods to improve throttle control, torque, and realistic flex and suspension dampening... Spoo76 had some great suggestions for gear reduction using a 64t spur and a 9t pinion mod that should help with the crawling when the parts arrive. I'm not sure if a different ESC is out there that could help with throttle control. I believe this one came installed with the "upgrade" version listed on AsiaTees, but not sure (it does have the 050 motor). I've also seen some videos on YouTube of people swapping in dual N20 motors to similar vehicles that look awesome, but might be beyond my modding abilities... I also ordered the wheel weights and aluminium oil filled shocks to help with dampening but they haven't arrived yet. I'd like larger softer tires, but disappointed that the wheels aren't a standard 1.0" and I'd have to order a new set of wheels as well. Finally I've thinking about adding weight to the frame itself with adhesive weights, maybe an ounce up front and a half ounce in the rear. I'll definitely post more videos once I get all these upgrades done!

Edit - when I tested those links out in incognito mode they didn't work. I set all the permissions to unrestricted so hopefully that fixes them... you might need to be logged into your gmail account to view...

2nd edit, that was pretty harsh on the truck! Didn't mean that. I very much like the vehicle and would recommend it. I got a Tetra K1 but returned it because it was even jumpier on the throttle. The body on this one is great, primarily wanted a Power Wagon and of the three micro scale power wagons I've found on the market I think this is the best.
