With all the upgrades available for a SCX24 in plastic, aluminum and brass, is there a point where to much brass is to heavy. You certainly want as much weight down low as you can, MOFORC even has full brass diffs. At what point is it just overkill and starts to become counter productive. A lot of weight down low does help to offset all of those scale add ons up top.

I think that with the scx24 you can get too heavy pretty quick... mainly due to the size/ power of the motor. I would only upgrade parts down low with this rig as well since it gets a little tippy pretty easily when putting weight up top. In terms of actual #s I dunno in oz. what would be considered too much but I'd only add weight around the wheels/ axle area and I wouldn't throw a lot of weight at this rig all at once. Upgrade to brass/ steel parts sparingly and then drive to evaluate performance gains.

Typically all any rig needs is weighted knuckles. I add weight to get to the F/R weight bias to where I want it and no more.
