Designed and printed, what might be the first, flat skid for the SCX24. Apparently, there is a kit called the Killr Chassis that comes with a flat skid but I do believe that that skid is just for their chassis. I could be wrong and have asked somebody to verify that. My skid uses the stock SCX24 mounting holes, except of course, for the upper links. *Update: I confirmed with someone who bought the Killr Chassis that their skid does not fit stock SCX24 rails and that the holes are different. Happy to say that the 050 motor clears the upper links just fine. However, just like before with the stock skid, the motor hits the upper links at full compression.

Curved higher clearance links would be the solusion. Surprisingly such links are not on the market.

| ![]() Not in this case. The links hit at the back of the motor, so the only solution is a set of custom bent links that bend around the end of the motor. I made a set for my Warthog build.

I see. Just a thought. Would off set link end help? If the link mounting point off the line of the link could it be possible? I was thinking about this problem with the 050 motor. Don't have the 3d printing abilities so can't experiment. Best idea I came up with is a notched tube link but that just a couple of millimeters of clearance. Right now I've got some shapeways high clearance links they are slimmer and are enough for my use. Sent from my LG-V521 using Tapatalk |
