Saw this teaser on one of the Failbook WPL/MN groups. Info is scarce thus far and all I have is the graphic teaser and a rumored July 2022 release. Might have the old MN90 style frame and axles, or hopefully it shares the undercarriage of the MN86 Mercedes Benz G500 4×4² (or Brabus), which is much better... ![]() Last edited by Undead Jeeper; 08-04-2022 at 06:55 PM. Latest info on the MN Model Cherokee XJ is a purported August release. Prototype model has a medium blue exterior and lemon yellow interior that I hope isn't on the production model. ![]() Model has opening hood, front doors and opening rear hatch along with a full interior and some visible door cards. It appears to be a very early XJ, like a 1984-1985 model. All the info comes from Facebook groups and one individual in particular who appears to be an insider living in China. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The wheels on it appear to be a reasonable facsimile of the base model steelies.... I looked closely at the yellow parts on a 32" monitor - there's black flecks in it, I'll bet it was either a test mold or maybe even a 3d print - every part that's now yellow would be best redone in black, so I'll bet that's what the final release will be in. They may well have used yellow for it's hi-visibility to check how good the parts came out. Here's hopin'!

I would say you are correct; looks like they did it in contrasting, two-tone plastics to check the fitment and weren't too concerned if the plastic was contaminated with bits. The body could be upper and lower halves based on those two colors, a sandwich with no meat, and that means a very sturdy body. Be neat if they copied the unibody design of the 1/1 Cherokee but we know it will likely have a separate metal ladder frame. |

New ad teaser has arrived. It is now called the MN-78 and likely won't be called Cherokee, because of licensing fees, but who knows. I am posting the image with a Failbook link but will probably vanish in short order. Says the release is scheduled for August 10 but a spokesperson has announced pre-orders but where are the links? There's no point in doing that and then announce global sales. Sound like they are hyping it to the max which isn't hard to do in this information age. ![]() |

The MN78 Cherokee is available for pre-order and is expected to ship on the 10th. Purchase link: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256...yAdapt=glo2deu No specs listed yet but you get a color choice. ![]() Looks like the MN78S is the silver model (guessing) and the MN78B is the blue model. $59.99 at the time I write this. Looks like the manufacturers used a Cherokee specimen that had those awful 1990s era double bladed windshield wipers installed to make their model from. That's the only thing so far that detracts from the model in my opinion. Nice tires and rims. They appear to be styled like the MN86 tread. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Short running video with obnoxious music. Oh well. Video probably slowed by .5x for dramatic effect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-OlAdMrgUM |
