Default TRX4M drive shaft rubber ring fix.

Quick fix to replace the retainer rubber ring on the drive shaft. Small key chain ring. Found these on a small flashlight.

Interesting fix might be better than the shrink tube fix. Did you happen to measure the ring?

The ring is 9mm. Come to think of it, one can be made out of the steel wire. Just a single loop will do the trick.

Yes, stock rubber o-rings like to roll right off sometimes, very nice and an essential mod for this little truck!

will be interesting to see how this holds up long term. my wpl trucks have this same setup and we still put shrink tubing over them. once they get a little rusty and loose we would still lose pins

Injora makes stainless (normal design) driveshafts for $17. I'd just run it until they break and then upgrade.

I lost one of my sons front driveshaft pins, and fortunately I had an old Team Associated SC10B that I had just finished working on that had some spares left over.

The 1/16 roll pins that the SC10B uses to behind the wheel hexes fit great. It's just slightly oversized in diameter, but being a roll pin it can be squeezed in to fit.

The spring tension of the roll pin has held it in there quite nicely. And my son is NOT gentle with his little Bronco.

Update on this mod. So far no rust on those rings, I run through the mud regularly. These don't have a chance to loosen, too tight. Seems like a more of a permanent solution.
As far as pins go: paper clips are an endless amount of various diameters.
