Default Brushless question.

Please help me to sort it out.
I want to get Brushless system on few of my rigs. Now, going furitec is obviously a great choice but one is alright but many ...
There are some cheap options like this one, surpass hobby 2340 5800kv

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0876W5JFG...ding=UTF8&th=1

As I understand the drawback of the sensorless is the low end control. How bad is it?
Is there an option to have a decent modulation on the brushless on the budget?
I'm looking for some solution for some crawlers and a 1/16 4wd rally/drift car.

Not really Ynad - you need an ESC with FOC to have good low end speed. Sensored is not required. The surpass system will be very jerky and annoying for crawling, but probably fine for 4wd rally etc. (although I preferred brushed for price to performance for drifting).

I have two Furitek systems, the way I did it was to buy two Lizards and run them with stock motors then upgraded/replaced brushed motors for a while, these make a big difference to even brushed setups. I also only bought one bluetooth module and swap it between the two esc.
Then, I bought the original komodo and upgraded one truck, then a few months later I bought the micro komodo that is in the ripper chassis.

This way I spread out the cost and genuinely the lizard is a huge upgrade even with the stock motor.

A really good alternative is to run a 1060 or 1080 esc with the stock or even an 050 motor (injora purple), I find brushed more engaging to be honest. I just did a spare parts build with the 1080/injora purple and a 6x6 with a 1060/55t 030 motor, both really fun to use and I don't find myself being frustrated like with the stock scx electronics.

those tiny outrunners have pretty good start up i have a 1212 micro outrunner in my losi mini crawler clone 1/16 scale crawler and the start up is as smooth as the brushed motor it replaced and about 3 times the torque and double the wheel speed
its runnning a cheap surpas hobbies 35a esc
i also have the same set up in my d12 crawler its geared way to high but gets no coging
it dose have a kinda spongy feeling though but like i sead its geared really high
both setups are 2200 kv outrunners

Check out these two options from HH. The best 280 in my opinion

Thank you guys very much. Very informative. Helps to put things in a better order. Totally forgot about the HW 1080.
I'll probably start with the cheaper HW ezrun 18a se just to get my feet wet. With some inrunner motor, I like my rigs in the dirt.
I tried to put some 30a esc I used on miniz with 130 and 180 motors in my 1/16 with 380 motor and it gave me the fireshow! Ring of fire around anchor by the brushes, sparks were flying from the can. At the slightest throttle input it starts to smoke and burn. That esc is fine with other motors still. I ordered upgrade 380 for now to see what happens.
I probably should fry the motor on video for the entertainment...
