Stumbled upon some decent area today while playing disc golf in Winona. My buddy goes to WSU and we brought his sister her car at St Marys and decided to play some disc golf. The whole time I was thinking, "Man this seems like it would be good for some trail type running". Then I came upon a couple spots.

This first spot is a stream crossing and is a few inches deep at best in this particular spot. Go to the left or right a couple feet and your six inches to a foot deep.

This spot would be best for more comp rigs as the size of the rocks and angle might be pretty difficult for scalers.

There are tons of foot trails with a few streams that run through. Its pretty open to the public from my understanding so if anyone is in the area it would be worth checking out. There are probably plenty more places in Winona there.

I would definitly be down for that but winona is a good 3 hour drive for me. But if alot of people were willing to go, it would be a cool day trip.

By the way are you Travis with the liberty?

From hwy 94 take hwy 61 south to Lower Afton road. Take a left(East), then your first left(North) onto the frontage road (Point Douglas Road). Go to the end of the road and there is a park on the right hand side.

Like I said, it's not much, but since your not too far away it's worth checking out.
Do you think there is anything around the Delano buffalo Rockford area?(not to far west of the twin cities)

I've never been out there, so I don't know. If you find anything, let us know.

Its at St Marys. If you head in on 14 then go in to the main entrance to the campus. There is a free parking lot off to your right just after the baseball fields. You walk towards the basketball hoop then go left. There will be a path 50 yards down. Turn right and head down a few feet then turn right in to the woods and you will be at the rocky part pictured above. Go deeper in the woods and there are some decent spots all out and about. Just have to find them. Also a decent place for a good hill climb. Just couldn't tell you how to get to it. If you followed the disc golf course you will find it.

You wanna be on the otherside of the bridge from dangerfields, park either at that public park or on the otherside of 101 there is a long stretch of road that comes to and end, I just parked there and walked.

There is an even better rock pile across the highway from Memorial park, on the south side of 101/13. take Sarazin St. exit from 101/13 go south, turn right immediatly on frontage road, go to the west end of this frontage road. very nice pile of rocks. My XR10 fits perfect on these size rocks, but there is a variety of size rocks. very cool, but i just finished my build and at first I told myself I would only drive manmade terrain so i wouldnt scratch it all up. And I found this rock pile and just had to drive on it, and scratched up my axels and motor decals. oh well, excuse to get new axels!
