Default Bigballer and Sgt Hartman road trip to KC

This was the night before we left. We got some fresh snow and I wheeled the XJ to see how deep things really were.

Well, here is the road trip Dean and I had. I will add more pictures later and show you the entire trip. The weather leaving out on Friday morning sucked. The wind was ripping and the snow a blowing. There were several cars and semis in the ditches. We even had a car right in front of us fishtail a couple times before hitting the center snow filled median. On with the side show.

10 minutes I asked if we were there yet...this is what I got.

Then getting closer to south side of Iowa, the weather got better.

We arrived in Blue Springs,MO and found a couple guys we knew pretty well...Yeap Kevin (NickelPimp) and Troy (Freetime). They were hanging out running some scalers. Dean and I joined them and ran a little before going inside the the small (yet very challenging and COOL) indoor setup for Friday night.

Bender...The Parking lot photos are still being downloaded on Photobucket. They will be here today. Ok...done now here we go...

This is what started it. Badger decided to sit on the suitcase transporter thing. Oh yeah, Jason immediately grabbed the ramp.

Hey Badger stay right there...

This is a blazin fast WK of Jason's. Watch out...

You will notice Badger has disappeared from his post. Silly Badger, either he pee'd his pants or he spilled his precious beverage?

Oh yeah we found a couple REALLY fast Stampedes...Ouch, this was spinning on his cheek.

Click the image to open in full size.

Pay back to the Pede...slammed into the ramp...and BROKE IT.

There is a fix for that...Beer can.

And last but not least for the parking lot rampage...the Flying Pede!

So on to the road trip home. If you don't care then STOP reading now! If you do care here is what happened.

First off it was a LOOOOOOONG ride home. About 7 hours long. So we stopped along the way and saw some sites. First was for food. I wasn't speeding, but there was enough time between my truck and Troy's car to run my scaler. Here she is...

Click the image to open in full size.

Along the path we came upon the rest of the MNRCRC crew. Yeah that's you turkey's who couldn't make it...

Click the image to open in full size.

Dean is a piggy so we stopped for some snacks and this is what we had. Energy drinks and Pork Rinds. Yuck, but oh so good.

Click the image to open in full size.

Not completely full (not full...Moab inside joke) We stopped for food. DO NOT eat here. The food was ok at best.

Click the image to open in full size.

After we ate the ok food it was fill up time. Check out the sweet scaler someone needs to build. 1967 Chevrolet pickup truck. Nice. I have several more pics if someone wants them.

Click the image to open in full size.

Oh and we spotted some new tires for my comp rig!

Click the image to open in full size.

Dean and I were jamming to BigBaller's new stereo. You will all see this soon.

Click the image to open in full size.

Then Troy forgot his milk on the roof and it ended up on the spoiler...haha. That was funny.

Click the image to open in full size.

Here is Troy wishing he had his milk and the rest of us laughing at him.

Click the image to open in full size.

Now the real fun. FIREWORKS!! We parked the Xj and went inside...

Click the image to open in full size.

Yeah right!

Click the image to open in full size.

More like it...

Click the image to open in full size.

And just because he was in the top 5 I will let Kevin get away with this one.

Click the image to open in full size.

This was all I wanted...

Click the image to open in full size.

So there you have it. Back home in Minneapolis, safe and sound. Oh here is the coolest pic I think I got while on the road trip. I got plenty of crap for making everyone wait while I took pics but it was worth it. Scaler or 1:1? Sweet!

The rest of the MNRCRC crew?????? I think someone is just too proud to admit that this was the only truck load of "chicks" you saw the whole trip!

Kind of already built it only more 4x4 mudder style.
Click the image to open in full size.

I like that beat up rusted bumper though I need one of those. Good to know my color matches good.

Anyway's that looked like a killer road trip. If I would have known the MN crew was going down I would have paid more attention to it and went. Everyones comp rig looks the same. Where's all the tubers?

I'd like to make it to scale nationals but I would have to drive 6 more hours then you MN people. 20+ hours is just to long of a drive for a spot out in no where Montana. I could be in Moab in less time and have something to do all week. But, it would be killer to check out the rigs and just the trip I'm looking for, we'll see. Really waiting for a event like that to come to the midwest.

hey ben that truck in pic has 8ft bed yours looks to be 6ft lol just messing it would be cool for someone to put out hard bodies like that truck and clods or highlift but with real beds in them so no need to do drop beds ......

Yeah Proline bodies are really not the most scale looking things...

Mine has a bobbed bed.

Baller, that FJ40 is definitly one of the best ones I have ever seen. The detail on that thing is fantastic. Cherokee looks great too, tires look a little chubby though for rocks. I talked with the Stefan guy, everything is handcrafted which is amazing. I really like the looks of them, I bet they are really fun to drive. I'd buy one but I'd abuse it to much.
