Default The "Rumble On The Rocks" MNRCRC Spring/Summer Series comp #3

"The Rumble On The Rocks"
MNRCRC Spring/Summer series Comp 3

When: Sunday May 11th 2008

Where: Taylors Falls Mn

What time: Sign-in, Drivers meeting and tech inspection starts at 9:00am sharp. Course building at 9:30
First truck through the gates at 10:00am sharp

Directions, and Pic's of the comp area can be seen here: www.MN-RCRC.com

I feel this is worth reposting:

A couple of suggestions if I may add; (reposted from the VARCOR thread)

"All attending PLEASE review the USRCCA rules found here: 2008: USRCCA Official Rules Info This will help in understanding what you can and can't do personally. This will also help in having the ability for more people to judge. We may find ourselves easily running 2-4 vehicles at a time (various portions of a course, different class, different course, etc), and with two judges needed per running vehicle ............this adds up. I think it would be most helpful if all attending had the ability to judge if needed".

Also, a couple of notes for any new people attending.
MNRCRC competitions are held in a MN State Park, as such, a park parking permit is required, since we crawl at Interstate State Park often, (Taylors Falls) it's more economical to purchase a yearly sticker, good for all MN State Parks. Daily stickers are also available.

A note to all attending!
With the possible larger numbers for the MNRCRC competitions this season, we're going to have to be even more conscientious of our surroundings.
I would like to suggest since we are guests in the Park, like so many others, there to enjoy the surroundings, that everyone pit back at their car/truck, and bring only the truck/s if you run 2 classes, and your radio, and any tools you can carry on person. This should help unclutter the area for other visitors, and hopefully, help keep us from getting kicked out. Along with the club gear bag, we'll have an iced cooler for anyone that has refreshments.
We'll be counting on everyones cooperation for this.

Hope to see you there!
As always, good luck to all competitors

Well guys as usual Greg and I will be there if you can guarantee delightful weather as you know we both detest uncomfortable weather thats what a successful military career is for which we both have had.

The stupid Jeep has gotten a few upgrades, and more on the way.... Just installed a Quark 33a Pro car esc last night, that alone made a world of difference in wheel speed over the mamba 25 esc. I tossed one of the two 2100mAh 3 cell lipo packs on the charger while I setup the quark. I first tested the jeep with the 8 cell 1400 pack I was running before. Once the Lipo was peaked, I dropped that in and pulled the trigger... Damn! I love the sound of that power, the difference is night and day.

I also have some straight axle adapters on the way from RC4WD, hoping to see them tomorrow or Saturday. And who knows, I might even give the jeep a quick paint job Saturday, if I have time between working on the Baller build off.

I'm wanting to go but I'm not legal until June to drive. If there's anyone that's willing to ride share I'll pay half the gas costs and buy lunch.

Thanks
Chad
