| Another awesome day of crawling. Aside from 2 little showers that rolled through, the weather was perfect. A great setting to the Spring Finals. 29 trucks in the 2.2 class, and 6 supers came to compete. 2 courses, one much harder than the other. Only 3 2.2's and 1 super finished the first course. Yeah, it was tough. Going into the final comp, it seemed as though the big battle was going to be for 2nd place in the 2.2's since Mike and Gary were tied. But with Gary as hot as he is right now, he not only beat out Mike, he also took over the 1st spot. With that victory, he as taken the championship in both the 2.2 and the super class for this series. Congratulations Gary-The Amazing Spiderman. With Gary taking 1st and myself taking 2nd in both classes, we have qualified for the 2008 Nationals in Moab Utah. I know Gary is very excited about going. And I would greatly like to go back to Moab to better my '06 finish. Aside from the excitement of the competition, we also handed some great prizes donated by our sponsors: RC4WD The Crawler Store Max Amps Jerry's RC RC Car Kings I believe everyone who stuck around for the raffle got a prize. There were shirts, stickers, can coolers, tires, motors, gift certificates, batteries, chassis(plural), beadlock rims. A lot of great prizes were handed out. I can't thank our sponsors enough for their great support this year. I also want to thank Jason and Tony from Max Amps for making the journey to Taylors Falls. Jason came from Alexandria, and Tony came all the way from Fargo. For them to travel all that way, and stick around until the end of the day was a great treat. Thank you guys again. Finally, I want to thank everyone that attended yesterday, and everyone that attended the other comps this season. All together we had a total of 11 Super and 47 2.2 competitors this year. An amazing growth of members over years past. Thank you for making Spring 2008 our biggest and best year of crawling in Minnesota. Hope to see you all for the Summer Series. Anyways, enough of me blabbing...on to the results. Yesterday's results: Final Standings: |

I had a really great time yesturday as I have at all the comps this year. Wish to say thanks to all the sponsors and not just because I made out like a bandit on the giveaway. I think Troy, Kevin, and Mike are the ones who got the ball rolling on this rock crawling thing around here and I want to thank them for it. The way the rock crawling comps are run is what got me in this rc thing 20 years ago, friendly comps with large loads of BS thrown in.

Congrats to everyone !! I've had a great time crawling so far. I hope you guys do good at Nats. I think we should all chip in together and get Gary some spiderman underpants for luck, and get something for kevin to put on top of his rig so it cant stay upside down for soooo long, lol or maybe some custom MNRCRC shirts to rep us over there ?
