| Camp and comp August 10th
I'll be coming up the 8th through the 10th of August. I should have my new scalers and comp rigs done at that time ready. I my brother and Greg (half-j7) will be in attendance. Figured I'd let you all know, maybe we can get together Saturday or something.

| Mnster & Bro, this will be your third Battle at the Border Comp right? I sense a tradition. If you guys are gonna be up here on Sat, I'm sure we can plan on something. Maybe some scaler action in Taylors or at out Howl Krawl location. |

This has been traditionally, our biggest comp of the season both the last 2 years. It should be another biggie this year. I wonder if those Duluth/Superior guys will make it down |

Yeah I'm up for anything. My brother should have his bronco done. I'm still using the same old scalers, just modded. It would be sort of nice to touch on a different location.

Hey Ben, have you seen this? This is near our comp site, and I believe he said we could camp there. I'll ask Jerry (Overboard) and let you know. He's an MNRCRC member, and we've been offered a spot to build a crawling course here. Spud Run |

August 9-10 there is Ricks Hobby Farm's annual Fly-In. There will be planes, helis, boats, car racing, spud run, trains, and a flea market. Any venders are welcome to come and sell stuff. I asked rick today and he said anyone is welcome to camp. Both RV's and tents are welcome. Rick asked me today when I wanted to start on the crawling course. I did not know what to tell him. Nobody has responded to the post requesting some help, and we sure could use some help in both the layout area, and with moving rocks. Heres the post about Rick's Hobby Farm Rick's Hobby Farm Last edited by rex21; 07-12-2008 at 10:55 PM. |

To cool I'm in for sure! I had no idea it was the same weekend, how cool is that. I still have my Axial Snow Blazen Blazer sitting in the corner of the shop maybe I should dust it off with some spuds. Last edited by Mnster; 07-15-2008 at 12:25 AM. |

Well looks like we will only be able to make the comp and nothing else. Zach couldn't get saturday off. Still going just will arrive Saturday night instead of Friday afternoon, so much for the trip being a relaxing two day venture in the woods. Guess we will just tag a hotel on the way up, camping for one day never made any sence. Oh well I'm just happy he got the 2 weeks off for Moab and that we will still make the comp date. |

Well we'll still be rolling out the red carpet for important honorary MNRCRC members. |

I was considering coming to the comp on Sunday, is there a good campground or place to throw a tent up that is close to the comp? I would like to come saturday afternoon and camp, then leave sunday after the comp. even a cheap motel would work one more question, what's the closest town to Taylor Falls? I cannot find just Taylor Falls on the map any help is appreciated Last edited by 701 Technique; 08-05-2008 at 07:20 PM. |

I have heard camping there is just as much as getting a hotel.... Try this google map link, if it does not work just search for Taylors falls, MN http://maps.google.com/maps?q=taylor...num=1&ct=title |
