Default Howl Crawl thread...

So, who is going to make it? The parking is limited and to make it the best we can, we should talk about it. Here is my list...

2 scalers (one at least waterproofed)...Troy is too fun to not follow around.
At least 2 batteries per truck as spares.
Backpack to carry all truck stuff around in.
Snacks and water...maybe a peanut butter jelly (time) sandwich.
You get the idea. You want to be able to carry all your "needed" stuff down with you to the site. There is many stairs to climb when you forget something. It is a sick scaler location. Lot's to do and plenty to play on. See ya there?

Wel, let's see some of the rigs going to make it for the Howl Crawl. I am going to bust out the first Highlift I bought. It is STILL in the same condition as these photos from over a year ago! Well, I will have the tires cleaned up and remounted. Not waterproof, but also don't care if it gets wet...

Here is a pic from last year's Howl Crawl.

Maybe the Silverado can make it?

Well, I figured I would post the pics here, since this is the unoffical thread for the Howl Krawl spot.

First up is the Nickelpimp Ridge area. There is a large tree right in and over our pathway. Walking is dangerous. Proceed with caution!

There are lot's of leaves covering the trail as well.

Here is Pickle Limp's first fall. This one would have been REALLY bad if the tree would have lent a helping branch.

We wondered around for a little while, checking out some "hillclimb" areas. We replaced some packs and headed down the hill to the water. Yeah Troy was first in and last out.

Gotta love the fall colors. This is only the waters reflection. Splended day...

This little area looks very promising for a "follow the leader" type course.

And yes there is PLENTY of mud to go in, through, and around...just follow Troy.

I could not agree more I hate how it cakes itself in all the little cracks and crevasses, yuuuuuuuck

Truth is Tony probably only Troy the "Mayor of Bedrock" will most likely mud bog as many others fell like you about mud. Our mayor was actually considered by the McCain campaign as a possible running mate until they found out about his "Mud Thing" they had no choice but to give Sarah a call.

Awww, a lil ol mud is nothing
If you're waterproofed, all you do is drive through some clean water before you leave, or just put it in the laundry tub and wash R off. These lil guys are nothing, try washing down a full size mudder
You guys don't know what you're missing

I am still up in the air about going this year, really don't like the location my self. Looks like you found a few better spots, but still can't avoid the sewer stink.

"Guess that smell" is something we can all play along as you drive. Don't be silly here guys, this is a fun spot. Mike you BETTER be there. Come on assholes, it isn't any worse then a car ride to Oklahoma.

The mud isn't something you HAVE to go through, you can pick it up and go around, just like you do in 1:1, right Mike?
