Default Nats invites

Since Nats has been moved to California and the date has been moved up to August 28th - 30th, MNRCRC should decide who is going to represent us. Donner Ski Ranch is located between Reno and Sacramento. I looked at Expedia only and flights to Sacramento are $240 round trip. You would still have to rent a car then. My understanding is that it is about 2 hour drive from Sacramento to Donner.

I doubt I will be able to attend, though I will have to crunch some numbers while I am on my vacation to see. Too much of a change and too much $ for me to attend. You never know, but it does not look promising.

I will not be able to attend. I had to guess at the dates a couple months ago to get the time off. Obviously, the dates I guessed were wrong since I based them on the traditional timeframe. Now, the dates are filled and no chance of me getting the needed time off work. I am severely dissappointed in the whole thing.

I do need to know from the qualifiers who is planning on attending. We need to give names and contact info. Please post up TODAY guys whether or not you are planning on going.

It sounds like the club can send 2 of the top 5. If I have to make a decision today, it is going to be no. Kevin is no, so that leaves Gary, Josh and Joe. Joe I know is a possible, but Gary does not surf here very often, so someone should contact him.

Seems like the Nat's won't be representative of the nations best drivers this year. There are rumblings of great drivers from the East Coast not making the trip.

I am not sure if I want to go. The more I hear about cottage cheese and Jell-o in the courses, the more I think WTF?

This is a really ugly for me. I am just sad really. Bummed out.

I hear you. Last year I got to the checkout for 2.2 nat's and got booted out and thus missed out on competing. Get there and Troy doesn't run his damn truck. This year I practice and bust my butt to get an invite and this crap comes up. About ready to say F' it.

I am selling my Berg. It will be posted up next week when I get back from vacation. Will be running the Losi, whether it be in MOA or shafty version.

Im out - Too much money and it sounds like its going to be a piss poor event anyways. With the way things have been so disorganized I would be surprised if it goes well. Lots of people backing out by the sounds of it. Looks like Nats is turning into a event where only people with money can attend. I sure hope they can be more organzied and have information out in a timely manner for next year.

I'm offically out. That schedule is too much for me. Too short of notice in tough economic times. Sad...

Zach and I are out as well.

Really blows as I was really looking forward to it as I do every year. Just way to far for us to drive (15 more hours from Moab). Can't fly, to much cash and still can't rent cars.

I'm tossing around the idea of heading to Moab anyways as I got my Xterra all tricked out for the trail run. F Cali

This is a total shame on so many levels and speaks volumes about how money influences poorly.

It's really unfortunate that we won't be represented this year especially after Gary's outstanding preformance last year 7th in 2.2.

IMO Moab was part of who we are and definatly didn't need fixing.

Default bad choice

Moab IS rock crawling, 1:1 or rc , even people who don't know crawling know Moab

I've never been there, hope to be good enough some day to make the nats, but to me it seemed stupid to change it. Unless they were changing it to someplace in the middle of the country so it was more accessable to everyone, not out in the fricking ocean (or close anyways)

just my thoughts
thanks

Tom
