Sure looked like a nice day for some scale action. How many rigs? I see gate markers? Scale comp, tough truck challenge, tonka dump truck, what all went on and who won? Keep the pics coming. Any videos?

Nice work guys.

Alright Ryan, here's the play by play.
We started the day off with the Tonka Pull (thanks again to Jerry's RC for the Tonka). First we tried about 25lbs, but found for the slope we were on it was too much. We ended up dropping down to about 8lbs I think. Chris(Intimidationrc) won this event with his Chevy. He narrowly beat Dean(GySgt Hartman) by 5 seconds with a time of 0:34. Noteworthy: Dean would have won if he would have entered his SC8e. Most everyone else didn't full pull. We quickly found that a heavy rig helps here.;)

We then setup the obstacle course consisting of 12 or so gates. Much like our normal comps, but much wider gates and no penalties. The gates were pretty much all do-able, but winches had to be used on numerous occasssions. Almost everyone completed the course. Randy's (Kwapi) 2.2 had the fastest time with 1:20. Dean's truggy was the quickest of the 1.9's with a time of 3:41.

We've learned that we may want to firm up some more rules with the scalers. We still want to keep them somewhat loose to keep it fun and laid back, but we may need to put out some guidelines to keep everyone on the same page.

But overall, everone that I talked to had a great time. I would really like to do more scaler events last year.

Sounded like some good times. We'll have to work on some scale WINTER events?

A nice day at Taylors.
The weather turned out to be perfect
I had to leave early because of a prior engagement, but I had a great time. Thanks to all involved!
I also would like to see more scale events in the future.
