MNRCRC Spring Fling Spring/Summer series comp #1 Don't miss the MNRCRC 2010 Spring/Summer season opener ! The Spring Fling When: Sunday April 18th 2010 Where: Taylors Falls Mn What time: Sign-in, Drivers meeting and tech inspection starts at 9:00am sharp. Course building at 9:30 First truck through the gates at 10:00am sharp. 4 classes, Super, 2.2, 2.2 Sportsmen, and 1.9 Directions, and Pic's of the comp area can be seen here: www.MN-RCRC.com A couple of notes for any new people attending. MNRCRC competitions are held in a MN State Park, as such, a park parking permit is required, since we crawl at Interstate State Park often, (Taylors Falls) it's more economical to purchase a yearly sticker, good for all MN State Parks. Daily stickers are also available. A note to all attending! New this year are running fees/club dues of $20 per year, or $2.00 per comp, due at the start of the season, or at each comp. Also, With the possible larger numbers for the MNRCRC competitions this season, we're going to have to be even more conscientious of our surroundings. I would like to suggest since we are guests in the Park, like so many others, there to enjoy the surroundings, that everyone pit back at their car/truck, and bring only the truck/s if you run 2 classes, and your radio, and any tools you can carry on person. This should help unclutter the area for other visitors, and hopefully, help keep us from getting kicked out. Along with the club gear bag, we'll have an iced cooler for anyone that has refreshments. We'll be counting on everyones cooperation for this.

Check your wheel base! You need to make sure your rig does not exceed the legal wheel base for its class while cycling the suspension.

Looking like a nice day Boys, see you there. Make sure your permits for parking are good also. That wheelbase rule might get a few. Ryan |

2010 rules o 2.3.1 - Vehicle wheelbase is limited to a maximum of 12.5 inches. This is determined by measuring from centerline of front axle stub to centerline of rear axle stub, with all the wheels pointing straight ahead, with the vehicles suspension holding it's own weight.

Current Rules Not sure why you posted the above, if there is an issue, but here are the current rules off of usrcca.com. Hope this clears things up. 2.3 - Class 2 – Class 2.2 : o 2.3.1 - Vehicle wheelbase is limited to a maximum of 12.5 inches. SECTION 6: Glossary of Terms 6.4 - Wheelbase: is measured from center of axle nut to center of axle nut. The vehicle should be set down on aflat surface by the driver. The front wheel on the side that is being checked, must be pointing straight forward. Atthat time, the driver will then cycle the suspension through it's complete extension and compression range while thejudge measures the vehicle's maximum wheelbase. At any point the vehicle's wheelbase cannot extend beyond themaximum limit of it’s class. All the above procedures must be duplicated on the opposite side. Note: All vehicles willbe teched in the same ready to run condition, and set up as the vehicle will be run on the course. Ifthe vehicleswheelbase is affected by radio control it must be cycled or activated during tech inspection.

6.4 - Wheelbase: is measured from center of axle nut to center of axle nut. The vehicle should be set down on a flat surface by the driver. The front wheel on the side that is being checked, must be pointing straight forward. At that time, the driver will then push the entire truck down to complete a full compressed suspension. Once full compression has been made, the driver then releases the truck to return to ride height. After the truck has rebound to a self supporting ride height, a judge will then measure the wheelbase. If both sides are to be checked, all the above procedures must be duplicated. it says 2010 on the page i m looking at Last edited by jaydog; 04-19-2010 at 03:37 PM.

I believe you may be looking at an older version of the 2010 rules. There was a revision earlier this year. If you go to USRCCA's website: usrcca.com Go to the rules tab, and click on the pdf file link. That will give you to current rules. At the bottom of the very last page it should have a date of 2-17-2010.
