| Crawl spots/Clubs in Minn.????
Might be moving to Grantsburg or Chetek (wisconson) but it's really close to the boarder. Wiss., guys said to ask here if there's any good spots or clubs in the area. Soooo???? What's your crawling season like? any indoor spots? What are the rocks like? I'd love to see some photos of the area, I might have my choice of which plant I'm going to work at. Thanks for the help gang, I'm hoping to find a town with a hobby store and some decent rocks close by. |

You would be pretty close to MNRCRC's main spot in Taylors Falls. We mainly crawl at Interstate Park. It's a state park right off of Hwy 8 just on the MN side of the St. Croix river. Here's a map of the area. Our season runs from April through October. You can check out a bunch of pics on our website mn-rcrc.com. Don't mind the fact that we haven't updated it in a while. The closest hobby shop is Jerry's RC in Lino Lakes. Owned and operated by two of our members: Jerry Sr. and Jerry Jr. They are great guys. Like djjiz said Duluth has some amazing crawling spots, especially by the shore of Lake Superior. Almost an endless supply of rock to crawl on up there. Duluth is only about 2 hours north of Taylors Falls straight up I35. We don't have much going for indoor crawling. We do have a small crawling course that we setup during the winter months for our RC Tractor Pulling series. That is held on Sundays at The Mermaid in Mounds View, MN. Hope this helps. |
