| MNRCRC 2011 Spring Series Comp #1
Sunday April 17th at Taylors Falls will be the start of MNRCR’s 2011 crawling season. Now that the snow has finally melted, it’s time to dust off the trucks and go crawling. We will begin sign up at 9:00am and competition will begin around 10:00am. As always standard USRCCA rules are in effect. Classes: 1.9 2.2 (Pro Shafty & Pro MOA points separated for tracking purposes only) Super Fees: -MN State Park parking permits are required, but are available at the park for either a daily pass or year pass (good at any MN state park). -Also there is a club fee of $3 per comp or $15 for each series (6 comps). To be eligible for the prize drawings at the end of each series, you must pay the full $15 for the series by the 3rd comp of that series. Couple of new items for this year to remember: -Series points are based on placement instead of actual score. -Time limit has been changed to 5 minutes per course. -The number of gates & bonus gates will vary, keeping in mind the time limit of course. -Running order: -This first comp will be free-crawl running order. -After this comp, the first person to run each course will be 1st and 2nd place finishers of the previous comp. Directions: From the South: Take I-35 north. Take the Taylors Falls Exit, Hwy 8 East. Follow 8 approximately 22 miles. The entrance to the park office is located on the right hand side of the road at the only stop light in Taylors Falls. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot. From the North: Take I-35 south. Take the North Branch Exit, Hwy 95 East. Drive approximately 22 miles, passing through downtown Taylors Falls. At the stop light (intersecting hwy 8 ) continue straight. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot. From the East: Take Hwy 8 west into Minnesota. After crossing the St Croix River, turn left at the first stop light. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot. We'll see you on the rocks. Last edited by Nicklepimp; 04-11-2011 at 03:52 PM. |

For those that need a state park sticker, REI sells them. The park office isn't staffed this early in the year, but you can get daily passes in the parking lot. I prefer the yearly sticker, and need to get one my self before the first comp.

We are only a possible at this point, it depends on what I can get done by saturday night. I was sick with the flu and lost a good week of wrench time. My plan to finish my rig didn't happen on schedule it will be close, like horse shoes and hand grenades. |

Well I picked up my state park stickers at REI tonight, still need to put my 1.9 together and charge batteries. I swapped over to the gatekeeper chassis I got from Dean at the swap meet. Just need to install the esc and receiver, then make sure all my settings are correct still. XR10 is unchanged and untouched since the last comp |

Not sure I'm going to be up and running by Sunday myself. I have everything here, just can't seem to get in the RC mood to even want to work on anything. I'll more then likely come out to spectate anyway.

If anyone is not going because their rig is not ready, remember as a club we always welcome spotters, judges, someone to pour cold water on the strippers, etc..etc. oh and I will also have an extra 2.2 rig with just in case someone needs a loaner as long as they're gentle on equipment |
