Exclamation 2012 MNRCRC Spring Comp #3 5/6/12

Sunday May 6th at Interstate Park in Taylors Falls will be the third comp of the 2012 spring series. We will begin setting up at 9:00am and competition will begin around 10:00am.

Classes:
1.9
2.2 pro
2.2 Shafty

Top finishers from last week that will start the courses are:
1.9
-EtypeR (Mike)
-The Ghetto Rig (Pete)
2.2 Pro
-Nicklepimp (Kevin)
-Stormin2U (Greg)
2.2 Shafty
-BigBaller (Ryan)
-Nicklepimp (Kevin)

After these guys start us off, running order will be standard free-crawl format.

Fees:
-MN State Park parking permits are required, but are available at the park for either a daily pass for $5 or a year pass for $25 (good at any MN state park).
-Also there is a club fee of $3 per comp or $15 for each series.

Don't forget, that this year everyone is judging. When you finish your run on either course, unplug your crawler and grab the timer cause you're calling penalties for the next person in line. After that run, trade in the timer for the clipboard...that's right, you're now scoring for 1 run. Once that run is done, you are free to move on to the next course. After your second run, repeat the above steps. We're trying to get everyone involved in judging this year to help take a load off the guys that are always judging. We will help out those who aren't comfortable judging yet. Let us know, and we can make sure someone can walk you through it the first few times. You can also freshen up on your rules knowledge by taking the USRCCA judging quiz-HERE

Also, don't forget to stay off the grass by the drinking fountain.

For more details, check out our Series Schedule & Details thread at the top of the MN section, or click HERE.

Directions:(map)
From the South: Take I-35 north. Take the Taylors Falls Exit, Hwy 8 East. Follow 8 approximately 22 miles. The entrance to the park office is located on the right hand side of the road at the only stop light in Taylors Falls. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot.

From the North: Take I-35 south. Take the North Branch Exit, Hwy 95 East. Drive approximately 22 miles, passing through downtown Taylors Falls. At the stop light (intersecting hwy 8 ) continue straight. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot.

From the East: Take Hwy 8 west into Minnesota. After crossing the St Croix River, turn left at the first stop light. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot.

We'll see you on the rocks.

Weather report looks grim. But Baller and I are going up no matter what, wether the weather is decent, or to tell stragglers to beat it.

I just fixed my missing rear body post on the xr10. If the radar looks half promising I will be there.

From what I am seeing I am out and I think Billy, Mike, and Joe are too. I don't want to speak for them but I am showing a 70% chance of rain and Thunderstorms from 7am to 3pm. Looks like a crappy day. Not going to waste the gas or fry electronics in the rain. Good Luck guys.

Waiting to hear from Greg and Brawley, but it looks like a opening somewhere around 10:00 AM through mid-day. I'm game if they are, I'll get back as soon as I know.

Streets are wet, but its not raining. Radar looks like no rain, at least for a while. If there are enough people, we're comping.
