Here is my opinion on some of the other topics that were discussed and implemented last season....
Judging stays the same as last year, everybody judges and keeps time. It seemed to have worked well and gave everybody an opportunity to see the coarse and sit around and shoot the bull during the comp.
I also liked the one drawing at the end of the season.
Fees should stay the same. But maybe have a dollar dance or $10 challenge after the comps with the winner taking half and the club taking the other half to go to prizes at the end of the year. Like I said, just a thought.

Can there gtg somewhere in north hennipen county, because i can't drive yet, and my dad is not going to want to dive 3 hours for rc's

Most of the comps and at least one of the scale gtg's are at Taylor Falls which shouldnt be that far from you. It takes me about an hour and 45min to get to TF from my house in Sibley county. But we will post a schedule of events and there locations as soon as possible.

Sorry guys we can't be there today. Greg got called into work Brawley's in Boston and I'm still recovering for the Novo Virus.

I have to say we're concerned about the outcome? We've belonged to this club for seven years to compete Rock Crawling vehicles not to do trail rides.

The club was perfect for us last year we have three votes against any changes to the current competition format that we used last year.

Kevin's concerns about his responsibilities and workload need to be addressed no question.

We are ready to "compete" scale trucks but we don't want to see massive changes to the current 2.2 Shafty and Moa classes of the MNRCRC.

If it isn't broken don't fix it!!!

Thanks to everyone that was able to make it to the meeting. I think we were pretty productive, but we still have to iron out a few items including the schedule. Here are my notes.



Admin Stuff:

• Ed, Mike, And I are Looking at Google for a scoring database
  • For multiple users to utilize
  • Simplicity
• Looking for someone to post up comp threads-Stormin maybe?

Comp Series:

• 1 series instead of 2
• 8 comps with 1 throw out*
  • *We are leaving open the possibility of more comps being added later
• First 4 comps by July 1st to meet Nationals Requirements
  • Leaders of series after 4 comps get Nationals invites
• Keep placement scoring for series
• Still ok for 2 people to share a rig
  • But they won’t run back to back
• Prize drawing at end of year
  • Only for those who paid for full series
• Possibility of $10 Challenges and/or Dollar Dances throughout the year
• Fees:
  • $30 for year
  • $3 per comp
  • ‘Chicks’ and kids are free (‘Chicks’ are encouraged )

Comp Stuff:

• Fresh eyes setting up courses
  • Toby offered to help
  • Others are also encouraged to help
• 2 courses per class per comp
• Time limits still between 5 to 8 minutes
• Keeping rotation of everyone judging

Comp Classes:

• 2.2 Pro, 2.2 Shafty, Trail Class
• 1.9 Class is dead (What’s a 1.9?)
• 2.2 Pro & 2.2 Shafty remain the same
• Trail Class Premise:
  • Not named ‘Honcho Class’ to signify all trucks meeting guidelines are allowed
  • Intended to gain interest/attendance
    • Popular truck
    • Off-the-shelf rig/rtr able to compete
    • Guidelines keep them similar but open enough to allow most everyone
• Trail Class guidelines:
  • Maximum wheelbase 12.5”
  • Frame rail chassis must extend past center of both axles
    • Solid tube work can replace frame rails (i.e. truggy back)
    • No comp (Twin Vertical Pate) chassis
  • Body must cover at least half of tread width for the full length of all tires
    • Solid tube work (i.e. truggy or Wraith buggy) can work as body
  • Front bumper (required)
    • 5” minimum width
    • Must be in front of body
  • Rear bumper is optional
  • Max tire height 4.6”
  • Only servo allowed on axle
    • All other electronics must be mounted on chassis
  • Spare tire is optional but encouraged
    • We may have a ‘Challenge’ involving a spare tire
  • Scale accessories not required
  • No dig or 4 wheel steering
    • Can have them installed, but ‘Touch’ penalty if used

• April 28 – Comp – Taylors Falls
• May 5 – Scaler GTG – Duluth
• May 19 – Comp – Taylors Falls
• June 2 – Comp – Taylors Falls
• June 30 – Comp – Taylors Falls
• July 14 – Scaler GTG – Sandstone
• July 27 (Sat) – Comp – Duluth
• Aug 18 – Comp – Taylors Falls
• Sept 8 – Scaler GTG – Rochester
• Sept 22 – Comp – Taylors Falls
• Oct 13 – Comp Finale – Taylors Falls
• Oct 27 – Scaler GTG (Howl Krawl) – Taylors Falls

Spot on Kevin. Lock them rules and ideas up. The "Trail Class" is going to be bringing them in for sure.

I know there will be at least 2 more compr's this year. My Brother in law and nephew are going to join us as their scedule permits. Look out...4 year old on course!! (Not me..jerks!)

just wondering on the tire size for the scale class if that can be bumped up to 4.75 for rc4wd's tires(The bogger is 4.7, the ttc claw is 4.75 and the iroc is 4.65)

Any ideas where the gtg is gonna be held in Rochester? Quarry hill nature center/park would be a sweet location.
