MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl 2014 Howl Krawl Oct 26th Interstate Park Taylor's Falls, MN The leaves are falling. Sunrises are getting later, and sunsets getting later. Hell, you can even smell it in the air... It's that time of the year again. This is MNRCRC's 9th annual Howl Krawl! This scaler event has been our finale each year since the beginning. This is tradition."thumbsup" Scary Details: Sunday Oct 26th Interstate Park Taylors Falls, MN 11:00 AM This will be a very casual trail ride. We will meet in the parking lot of Interstate Park and walk the trail leading to the campgrounds. It is an awesome trail with plenty of fun terrain to challenge any scaler. Keep in mind, this trail ride will probably last at least 2 or 3 hours and take us far away from the parking lot. I would recommend bringing a backpack or something to carry all that you need on the trail. Some things I would recommend bringing: -extra batteries -spare parts -basic tools -lunch/snack -water Fees: -MN State Park parking permits are required, but are available at the park for either a daily pass for $5 or a year pass for $25 (good at any MN state park). -Otherwise no fee!!! Directions:(map) From the South: Take I-35 north. Take the Taylors Falls Exit, Hwy 8 East. Follow 8 approximately 22 miles. The entrance to the park office is located on the right hand side of the road at the only stop light in Taylors Falls. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot. From the North: Take I-35 south. Take the North Branch Exit, Hwy 95 East. Drive approximately 22 miles, passing through downtown Taylors Falls. At the stop light (intersecting hwy 8 ) continue straight. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot. From the East: Take Hwy 8 west into Minnesota. After crossing the St Croix River, turn left at the first stop light. Stay to the right as you enter the parking lot. I hope to see you there!!!"thumbsup" |

Re: MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl Sorry, dudes, can't make it...my band is playing at Famous Dave's and I have to be there about 2:30...have a blast! |
Re: MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl I'm a definite maybe... Again... But if I show up sounds like Trentin will be able to come too! |
Re: MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl It's looking like I will be making it too. Are there any, or the same type of water hazards as the trail run near Byron? Gonna slap the Rip Saws back on my Wraith so I'm a little bit more scale this time. Saving some cash up for some Ottsix U4s or maybe the new KLR's? Cant forget my Camera this time, I'm gonna get pictures! |
Re: MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl since this is just a fun run you get to choose what you drive over and threw. Alos there is not much water besides the potholes and you dont want to go in them because they can be 6 plus feet deep! |
Re: MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl See you fawkers in the morning. Bring money. Got plenty of miscellaneous for sale including a slightly modded scx10 deadbolt. |
Re: MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl charging up the yeti, bringing the fj along as well. The 4runner is torn apart, so I can start working on the front 4 link setup... |
Re: MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl 3 Attachment(s) I was just there today with my wife, had to check out the terrain. I definitely like the views and I know I could get some kickass scale pics. My question is where do you think you'll be trail riding? Up hills and rock terrain or walking paths? Reasons I ask is this cause the only current running rig I have is my dready mog. I sold my Rcc yeti a few days ago, soon a few of you will find out who bought it. Also today, I noticed a three guys brought yeti's out but they were climbing the hills next to parking lot. Now if this is not recommended to bring..... Then I might have to pull a all nighter once I get home. Try to get my yeti ready. Attachment 298574Attachment 298575Attachment 298576 |

Re: MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl I think I can make it but won't be going on the walk. I'm having troubles with my kidneys and my liver apparently. I fatigue pretty easy and don't want to start on my work week tired. I will plan on hanging around the main part for a little while. |
Re: MNRCRC's 9th Annual Howl Krawl Alrighty boys... Looks like I'm going to be able to make it... And like Chad I also have some stuff for sale or I would prefer trade... See you all in the morning http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...0043275cca.jpg |
