Remember when body rules got so strict that we all started building moon buggies made out of cutting boards? I miss that kind of evolution.

In all seriousness though, the new scaler is a 4 pound experiment with 70* of steering and some of the best parts available. Bumpers aren't gonna slow it down. If you really want a level playing field we would need a spec class. |

How about allowing cut and shut tires in 2.2 Trail Class. There aren't very many high performance tires in the height range (5-5 1/2") that work well with most ladder chassis. Most of the new 2.2 high performance tires are made for the Wraith or Yeti in the 6" range. Those could be easily be reduced for use on the more traditional trail chassis'.

Sure, why not? It probably doesn't even have to be scale.

I like our keep it simple idea, I think the only rules should be for 1.9 is a scale tire and frame rails, and in 2.2 trail a scale tire and pro stays the same. This way it allows anyone to still run, but does set a few guidelines. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk |

We need body size rules, without rules people will push the idea of scale and abuse it. And for tubers, the cage should be constructed of round tube like material. Steel, aluminum, plastic, ect. Flat plate cages should not be allowed. A min width and height sound be set, along with a length that ties in with the wheel base. |

Only allowing a scale tire for 2.2 trail is basically reintroducing the sporty class with scale tires. Would that mean that an xr10 scaler would be legal? The lack of class structure is where the ridiculousness starts and where my interest in comp participation ends.

Last year was one of the most successful years i've been a part of and most of us can agree on that. So what are rules going to improve? Only advantage I can see is dumbing the class down enough that an elite group can run a shitty setup and still be competitive. |

| Re: MNRCRC 2016 Rules Discussion Thread If a person were to run a rig and the only thing scale on it is the tires. I'm sorry but that is not a scale vehicle. I can guarantee several people will not come if you just throw all the rules out the window. If people don't want rules, lets hand out participation trophy's also. We don't want to hurt anyones feelings.

Our Rules 1.9 Trail Class Get your SCX10 or TF2 ready. Any rig with a 1.9 (or smaller) scale tire is welcome. 2.2 Trail Class New this year is a dedicated 2.2 trail class. That's right, got a 2.2 wraith, deadbolt, or scx10? We finally have a class for you!!!! Make sure you have some scale tires. Don't be using cheater tires...Bill 2.2 Pro And, as always, we will have the 2.2pro class. Anyone not familiar with the rules of this class or the rules in general can check out this link HERE. Pro rigs include any MOA or sportsman rig (including dig) on a comp chassis with comp tires. |

It's got 1.9's so that would mean it can only run with supers but only if it has a life pack that is more than 70mm long

It has a comp chassis regardless of tire size it would run with the Pros imo.

| Re: MNRCRC 2016 Rules Discussion Thread It's a good thing that ridiculousness hasn't started yet... If this is the level we are resorting to then, peace out. See y'all on the trail ride with a poorly performing scaler. Last edited by diesel kawboy; 11-09-2015 at 09:11 PM. |
