Finals move to Oct 2nd instead of Oct 9th

Talked to pimp again and figured we'd make this official. Please vote so we can make the change in the schedule if we have a clear majority. Poll will be open for 7 days from today.

We have about 5-6 guys (plus 1 family) now who are looking at crawlapalooza on the weekend of the 9th.

Yes vote, means move finals to Oct 2nd.

No vote, means leave the finals on the 9th.

I'll be there for whichever date it ends up being but shouldn't this of been hashed out when the schedule was being put together? When were the dates for Crawlapalooza released?

They were only released 2 weeks ago, that's the reason for the change

Yes, but it was the same weekend last year, and the year before that, so it could have been scheduled. I say leave it as it as, as it was voted on at the beginning of the year.

Because we have had this problem in years past, and we always say tough luck, guess you have to choose which one you really want to go to.

Yes we usually do account for this in the schedule planning thread, especially since we've had members go in the past. However, if you go back and look it has ?? listed next to crawlapalooza. Not sure why we didn't just guess it would be this weekend, but I'm not an expert on national event planning.

The reason we are voting is so the guys who are at the top in the standings can choose, I don't care either way really, if I have to miss it o well, not sure why you are so upset you've only made 1 comp this year anyway.

Well everyone knew the schedule at the beginning of the year, and everyone agreed to it in the planning thread.

I'm not upset, I'm just pointing out that people have already tried to change dates after everything has been set, and we always say no because everything has already been planned out.

And its probably a good thing that I can only go to a few comps, because everyone would be whining that my cheater truck was in the lead

There have been a couple of post already, in this thread and others, about us not making comps.
The point that we haven't made all the comps is weak! There have been 4 comps (which we've made only 1) with 4 left, so things can change, I don't think I need to lay out all the scenarios. Someone may fall off a rock and get hurt

I know I'm out of the running already so do as you wish.

Last year's controversy was because the change was not put up with a vote, and short notice. This is being handled properly, if the change conflicts with your schedule the speak up.

Voted for the 9th as its one of the few comps I'm off work for this year.

Perhaps part of the issue is that if people have already planned on the 9th and now can't make the 2nd and they already paid for the season, they lose out on the killer end of the year raffle. If I was in that position, I'd be salty.

Just wanted to add that I will still try and make it on the 2nd of that's what happens. Just would have to leave by 4. And I pay each time so I think I don't get in on the raffles
