There should be no tall ship event in duluth. It happened this year and is an every 3-4 year event (I think).

If crawlapalooza is usually the second weekend in Oct then I agree with Adam. If for some reason they do the first weekend since its the 6-8, Derek and I'll prob be there. Along with Phil and likely Adam.

I have a personal conflict at the end of July or early August. I need to confirm the dates.

I messaged Jerry at DMG and he said he thought the date's would be what I have listed above, but as always things can change, may be a good idea to put final's as tentative from Crawlapalooza and could be flipped to either weekend once date is finalized.

Thanks for the help Adam.

Per Dana's meeting notes we decided to hold 8 comps, 2 G6's, 3 or 4 TTC events, the Howl Krawl, a Terra X race, and maybe some U4 racing. That's a lot! If we only held 3 TTC's and no U4 races we would already be at 15 events.

With that said, let's first look at how many events we can fit onto the calendar, then we can decide what type of events on each date.

I've updated the original post with Adam's out of state comps in orange, then added "Event" to get an idea of what is possible.

So in the interest of squeezing in as many events as possible, here's a few thoughts... Could we hold comp 1 at Adam's indoor course in early April (eliminating the concern of a late winter)? Hold one of the G6's during the ECC weekend (not a comp so we don't impact anyone's series standings)? Hold an event in November (possibly Phil's TTC finals)? Also, we could eliminate the test & tune this year. With all of that, I was able to squeeze out 15 events with 2 occasions of back-back weekends.


We aren't going to be able to do everything on the original list from the meeting. What are people least interested in?

If I have a vote. I'd ask that the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August are only scale or race events if they are held there. I'll be out of town one of those weekends but not sure which. Just asking that neither isn't a comp.

I guess this is as good a place as any to break this? Greg, Brawley and myself will be taking a break from MNRCRC competition. To be honest after ten years we're going to become "classic bashers". Its actually good news for me as I like to drive too and driving by myself is difficult. I don't know if we'll be back but thats always a possibility as you have all become good friends and we will miss your company for sure. As of this May Greg and I would be starting our eleventh MNRCRC season. I'm personally interested in any official U4 racing you guys might get started and will try to make some of Adam's indoor crawling events next winter myself.

I'm definitely going to miss having you guys there, especially chatting with you while the pro trucks run. Guess I have no excuses to not have one going now, haha.

Seriously though, I do hope we get graced with your presence at least a couple times through the season.

And yes, as Dana said, we should get together for some drifting!

Thanks, not to worry fellas I'll be keeping an eye on whats going on and we might choose some comp weekends to bash on. I think some of this was conceived to get me more personally involved, I feel pretty honored. Both Greg and Brawley clearly have competition crawling potential but have chosen to give that up so we can wheel together and thats very cool.

Derek and Dana lets get some drifting done. I'm collecting parts right now for a MST FMX build so Ill have both a 2 and 4wd cars when its done. I'm also planning a SCX10.2 build later in the summer.

This isn't easy for us by any means we have great memories and we're going to miss club life no question, we'll have to see how it goes.

Back to back comps in the end of april and start of may seems like a bad idea. The park should be open by the end of april, with the winters we have been having lately. But its still a chilly morning, and the rocks lack traction. Its also nice having a weekend between comps to fix rigs.

There was also a 4 week break between june and july, kills the momentum in my opinion. Everything else looks pretty good.

I AM WORKING ON GETTING PERMISSION ON LAND IN SIREN, JOSH AND I CHECKED IT OUT LAST WEEKEND AND WOULD BE A GOOD SPOT FOR A REGULAR COMP, G6 IS OK AT MY CABIN LOTS OF PROPERTY THERE

Please keep end of July and first weekend in August something other than a comp. I will be gone those two weeks and am fine with missing a U4 or g6.

So if we can move that July 30 one back to he 23rd like it was.
