Snowcrawl 4.3

DATE CHANGED!!

The next Snowcrawl will be on March 12th, starting at 11 am. Same old rules as the last two. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we will be able to run down in the creek.

Looking forward to it! I had to miss the last one so I'm definitely itching to do some crawling.

Snowcrawl 4.3

I may not make this one. I am currently working on building a new scale 2.2 rig, and at the rate I am going looking for parts and what not, I may have it completed sometime 2018. LOL

I feel your pain. My 2.2 project is a complete teardown and start over. My "Wroncho" was a bit of a failure. But gonna give it a second chance for a competitive 2.2 based on Nerby's chassis.

Actually.... I am working on a "Wroncho" as well. It's a bit of a learning curve for sure. But I have some parts currently on the way that I am going to give a shot.

Cool, I like the Wraith axles. But I think they are a bit wide. With the right wheel offset they might work out. I'm going to use my SCX10 axles from my Rubicon and Adams chassis and skid. I will try and post a build, but I think I should post in the 2.2 scale forum. What tires did you choose to use?

I have a pretty new set of Proline Flat Iron XL's I am going to use for now. I think they will work awesome once I get them mounted on some better wheels.

Except for my mud truck and Yeti, I've narrowed all my AR60 axles down by 28mm. This gets it down to nearly the same width as a wide XR mod, which works really well for 2.2 rigs

Stupid question, but I am assuming 14mm per side? I may end up giving this a try. It all depends on what body I end up going with.

one cut, off the long side, right at the edge of the "tube" to the diff housing.

When you cut anything off the short side, this puts your link mount much closer to the outside, and reduces your potential steering angle once lower suspension links are made. I try to not touch the short side of the axle for that reason (I've done it once, and learned to not to).

DUDES! I screwed up and have to change the date for this event! I'm really sorry, but I double booked and if I don't do the other thing I will have wasted a bunch of cash.

You guys let me know if you would rather do it on Saturday the 4th, or Sunday the 12th
