Default 2008 MNRCRC meeting Date

Although it's only mid Dec, it's never to early to start planning a date for our 2008 Winter meeting.
I'm not sure how many church goer's we have? but Sundays seem to work out best for our group.
The following Sunday's are Jan dates.
Which works best for you.

I propose Perkins, since they have nice meeting rooms
How about here.

Choice 1.

1495 County Road B West
Roseville, MN 55113

Choice 2.

2009 County Road D E
Maplewood, MN 55109-5313

Choice 3. Other choice?
Name choice.

It would be nice to get as large of vote as we get turn-outs at our comps, and as large of turn-out for the meeting as well.
Bring your list of topics you'd like to bring up at the meeting

3rd should be the 6th, as the third is a Thursday.... I voted for this one though, I think the sooner the better.

Great idea Troy thats why your Mayor of Bedrock , lets have some good old face to face discussions these typing based relationships get old fast and take days to get anything on the table. I agree with Mike the sooner the better better.

We should build a list of things to discus here as well, any thing you think we should talk about just post it up....

Here are some topics we might want to talk about.

Keep the 60 point out level or lower it to 40? Lowering it to 40 would keep people from dropping so far down the points standings if they missed a couple comps, or if you have a few bad days. Points and where you point out are all figured out after your run anyways, so this doesn't change your run.

Put a true 5 or 6 minute cap on runs, and have drivers stop after this time. As our club grows, our comps are taking longer to run. And occasionally we have some harder courses that are taking some people 8-12 minutes to finish. If we have 10 people take 6 minutes longer then the rest, thats a hour added in.

I can't remember what else it was I wanted to look over right now, its been awhile.... But please post any issues you have that you want to discuss, or just any ideas. Pretty sure we will have another meeting some time in Febuary as well to nail down the comp dates for this year, and we can touch down on more topics if needed then as well.

  • I'll be discussing the new 2008 rules and we will need to decide if we will make any adjustments to our club's version.
  • We need to create the 2008 schedule. I don't know if any of the other clubs have made their schedules or not by then (i.e. MN Nitro, MN Dragway, etc.).
  • Do we want to continue with 2 seasons or go back to just the 1 season.
  • Which scoresheets do we want to use.

That's all I can think of right now. I'll add more as I think of it.

I really liked the dual season we ran this year, we got lucky and it worked out perfectly for the nats invites.

Double season again. I don't remember if I voted but I will do my best to be there whenever and where ever it is.

I like the I idea of keeping the scalers focused on fun rather than preformance. We already have 2 classes for preformance.
