Question trying alone

Live here in Elsberry. Flew planes for years but too old for that now so
i'm trying this. If I can learn enough I"m going with my grandsons to Moab this summer to run his rc trucks. Boys live in Sedalia and runs 5 different rigs but no rockcrawler yet. Like I said no help up here so this is what I have so far. Lot of mistakes and trial and errors.
Highly modified 4wd WK:
extended wheelbase; new links; locked diff; sidewinder esc; high torque servo axle mounted 133 oz; Futuba FM; 45t motor will go to 65t this summer); Dean connectors; beadlocks & sticky tires; second set tires stock WK with 9ozs BB's each tire; superlite esc holder; sidewinder esc (factory taking my truck in April and setting it up at Factory in KC0
Never saw a rock yet but I hope it will be able to do something besides eat money. If there is anyone up this way I would like to meet you.
Where can I find a guy to do me a decent body at a reasonable rate. Maybe 30 or 40's truck with rust scheme.

Well, it looks like you are about an hour north of Nacho's crawling spot. You're more than welcome to come out if you can. good luck with the body, I've never gotten the weathering to look right myself.

Hey Larry,

Your not too far out from me.Not far from our spot at Busch Wildlife either. You should check out the ole quarry out there in Elsberry..the gravel rd just south of town that runs along the tracks.I used to go swimming out there as a kid.Cant remember exactly what it was like tho. There is also a creek in Foley, right in town..from Elsberry turn right at the stop sign in Foley and its right up the road.Find out what the bed is like, Id come out and crawl with ya.I was also thinkin of checkin out the Winfield Damn area.

Let me know

Know what you mean on the eat money thing. Good luck on the build. I plan to take mine with me to Hannibal Rocks Off Road Park in Hannibal next time I go. Awsome rock Quarry setting for the 1.1 crawlers, Im sure I can find plenty challenges there for the AX-10. Let me know if ever plan to come up there.
