That sounds pretty cool to me! If I am in state I will certainly try to hit this up. I have some rockracers up my sleeves.

The next event for KCRC

we may have to make this some kind-a BONUS points for the winner of this event.

be super cool if we can get everyone to show up.
this would be a good chance to have some kind-a club meeting.
see what we can come up with for the club to get bigger & better
or any other ideas??

this should be a blast !!!
hope to see everyone there

thanks ZORLAC

Are You Ready To Rock!?

Click the image to open in full size.

There's less than 2 weeks left before the
1st annual
"der Hawerlander Fest"

Get ready to run whatcha brung,
and lay the hammer down for some
head to head rock racing!!!

Track lay-out is coming along great,
and will change some from this conceptual drawing.
But this will give you some idea as to the basic track design. Many more obstacles will be included in the final lay-out.

Click the image to open in full size.

The stage should be set for some
full throttle carnage
with obstacles galore, including jumps,
a cross-over table-top, water hazard and more!

We will be running multiple heats through out the day.
And hope to get everyone paired up with someone
else in the same bracket.
Everyone will make 1 lap per round, and then switch to the opposite lane in the 2nd round. Adding the 2 times together for a total qualifying time.

Once the heats are finished, we'll be shooting for semi-finals to determine the top 2 Racers that will make it to the Finals, with a heads up shoot-out determining the winner of the
1st Annual der Hawerlander Fest!

Be there!!!

I think the construction of the course and the food and beverages are being taken care of. But we're still looking for some guys to take care of possible video capture . I know some of you have laptops for downloading the video. And a few of you have some video cameras. There should be plenty of power hook-ups for charging and such.
Any volunteers?

I may be rig-less. If so, I'll shoot video. Just need to get some tapes.

Tabletop jump is finished.
If any one else has any ideas of some obstacles,
please feel free to bring them. If so, let us know,
so we can plan the course accordingly.

Alright, who all's gonna make it?!

Nice nice. Is that just tylers 35t warrior and his 3s pack that he normally runs?

Count me in to race, probably need to be in the slower division.

I'm in!

Looks like the VXL is too big to fit in my chassis. Maybe I will find a good 27t and try out the 4s

Nope, that's mine, except a 21t pinion with the 87t spur, 35t and 3s. Might try a smaller spur yet, not sure.
Swapped out to the lighter proline wheels with the Moabs as well.
It's faster, but by no means fast still.
I took the jump back apart to get a little more vert. Because I know most everyone won't be all that fast either. But I still wanted us to be able to catch some air!

Harley0706
What!? No brushless? I guess the 4s will have to do.

Need some more ideas for jumps. Any suggestions or pics? I thought about making one with a gap like at the XRRA race. Kinda like a step-up. Other than that, might just do a couple more regular type of jumps, 8" high or so.
What's up SCG? Your a builder. Surely you've got some ideas.

By the way, Captain Carnage struck again! He broke the RS4 rally (alright, maybe that was me)and a stock built TLT. Then proceeded to break part of his stretched Pede .
Ramp specs:
Clearance is 14" under the table-top, 30" wide (both top and thru), 16" high total. Just under 8' long.

Ah, my bad. Didnt see the purple wheels so I assumed it was Tylers. I like the flight. Dunno if my 16.5C 3s can handle that kinda amp draw for that long.
