Default GTG in Springfield, Mo Oct 28th

Since I got my crawler done now. I would to get a GTG sometime soon. Anyone live in or near Springfield, Mo? I've found many great places to crawl in the Springield area. Ozark, Springfield, Nixa, Joplin, Branson or anyone who wants to drive. Lets get something going. Hell even if you live in KC or St.L it's only a couple hours away. Lets tear some stuff up.

Dez does your group want to come down and Play?

GTG on Oct 18th @ 1:45
Location Springfield, Mo
@ Fassnight park

Looks like it's down to the 21st or 28th for the dates. Tomrrow I will drive around and take pictures of the places to crawl and post them up so everyone can pick 1 or 2 places they would like to crawl.

Here are some pic's of Behind Lowes. I didn't get a Chance to get to the Parks today. It's not a bad place to go. The grass as grown up since list time I was down there. Even the small rocks you see are the size of your head. It's a good spot for 2.2's or Nylints. Supers would get board.

Looks like Fast night park will be the place to have it. Good for both Supers and 2.2 rigs.

Well I got to get chance to crawl at Fast Night park for about an 45min or so. I broke a front upper link and my battery went dead. So time got cut short. On to pic's There is plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of parking and decent restrooms. If you have kids of famliy coming down it's really a nice park so they will be fine while we are crawling. On to some pic's and I'll have a short vid later tonight.

This first pic just show's about 1/4 of it. Most the water is only a couple of inches deep.

And now the Carnage. Wasn't much and I already have it fixed for now. Can't really see it. My threaded rod pulled out of the broken Hiem joint. I ended up putting a stock tlt on left over. Ya I broke it when I meant to hit reverse I hit foward and bam off a 9ft cliff into the back and rolled into the water. Took a hard it on that that corner.

You could head north to Columbia this Saturday!

That rig would probably do well in the super class!

Well here is Fast Night. I didn't get a chance to even walk the whole thing. Only got about 20ft down. And there was still 100yds lefts to crawl on. Time was cut short after a pretty nefty fall. I thought I was pressing reverse, but I gave it gas. Well it just jumped of the damn rock that was 9ft high onto the creek bank and rolled into the water. I only broke a front upper link. I kept on wheeling. 15min later battery died anyway. Oh and I lost the bottom battery cover off my TQ3. Fixed everything and ready to go back. Here are some pic's and a short Video. It seems I have my Torque twist down to nothing. I can't notice it any.

The 21st would be a good weekend for a GTG some of us from J.C. would be able to make it then. My bud Bugman72 used to live down in those parts. It would be a great roadtrip for us and meet some fellow crawlers. We all have 2.2s and that place looks perfect for em. Keep us posted on a date and we will make plans to attend! Here is a pic of my new one. well it looks a little different now with some abuse.

Sorry to tell ya, but it seems I have a Hayride on the 21st With the church. And my wife has to work. So I have to watch my son. I'd take him, but his only 15 weeks old. So the 28th it is. Hopefully you guys can still make.

So the first GTG of Springfield will be on the Oct. 28th @ 1:45
Location: Fassnight Park

I will try to post a map on how to get there.

Map from Jeff City. You can just zoom out or in to find your town and the way there.

So what kind of numbers are we looking for? If you can't make it on the 28th. I will try to go down there on the 21st just to crawl for a little bit. But just for a couple of hours. If everyone that comes done thinks it might be a good place for a comp. I'll get a comp together later this year. If the weather permits.

If enough poeple show up. I plan on setting up a mini comp just for those bragging rights. Also it's a perfect place to have a trail run also. The more the better. So just show up you won't be sorry. If you have drive a ways to get here. There is no better time to do it then now. While gas is under 2 bucks. So charge those battery packs up and load your crawler and get ready to wheel.

I will try to make it on the 28th with Stump and Bugman72 and another guy as long as I don't have to work. I am sure they will want me to drive anyway as usual. They need to start fronting some FUEL MONEY!!!!!
