Bob Stormer and Jim Campbell from Tekin are running the 1st Annual Tekin Short Track Nationals Sponsored by Stormer Hobbies in conjunction with our event. Losi has signed on as a major sponsor as well. Right now it's looking like a 24' X 50-60' oval. Stock and brushless Mod with classes for both the sprint car and late model bodies. It will be INSANE...and Bob says to plan on breakin' stuff 'cause these bad boys will be haulin' ass, but that's part of the fun with sprint cars 1:1 and otherwise. Plus between Bob and Losi there will be a pretty much endless supply of parts available.
if you know Bob Stormer, I would LOVE to talk to him about sponsership for the scale meet in may.

WHOA WHOA wait a minute....Are you saying I might be able to buy a crawler/ tlt axle part and have it in my hand before I pay for it....That just seems like an impossibility at this point...It would be a first. I always have to wait 3 days to almost 2 weeks for parts. Im really excited now!

Note: This "short track national" IS Bob's event (and Tekin's, but it was Bob's idea), it is just being run in parallel and at the same facility. As far as I know Bob doesn't sponsor "outside" events and I believe Tekin is rapidly headed that way. He doesn't even "sponsor" our own big race we hold each year and we're his "home club". I completely understand this policy. He is usually pretty generous, though, about contributing items for raffle/door prizes. Were I you I'd give him a call on 1-800-ALL-RACE. If you've not had the opportunity to meet him there isn't a funnier person on the planet, a bigger booster for RC, and general all-round nice guy.

Hey Ben,

Went to LHS and they've got 3 of the micro desert trucks in stock. Is there a channel number that would be less likely to conflict than another?

Also, do I need a spare battery pack?

Any parts break commonly or they're pretty stout for what you're doing?

Kinda wish I was buying the bug, but ah well.

Thanks,

Scottrik

We have channel 1 and 3 Dark Grey and Blue.

the shop is pretty slick so as long as you keep it out of the walls you should be sitting pretty

Greatly appreciate the invite, and was looking forward to it, but I'm not going to make it. Gotta get rid of this woman of mine once and for all, so Sun. while you guys are having fun I'm gonna be getting the rest of her sh!t out of my house so she has no excuse to come over anymore. I WILL be there for the next one, after all getting rid of her means I have more time to play!!
