Snowed pretty much all non-stop from Thur eve through late yesterday here in Billings. Really really fine powder so it blew around a lot. Driving side-streets would lead me to believe there was probably 8-12" depending on where you were in town. Most snow at once I've seen since we moved here (three years) and "local" buddy says it's the most he's seen in one drop in probably six or more years.

I'm no Chicken Little, but Global Warming is probably why it's been 6 or more years since Billings has had 8+ inches of snow. Hmmm. Or why Seattle hasn't had more than a couple inches in a shot since around 1980 (when I was a kid there we got a couple good dumps (4-6 inches +) at least a couple times a year there.

"Global Warming" isn't about instantaneous temperature or climate...it's about trends and it's pretty much impossible to deny the evidence. Of course my own opinion is that its probably as much due to the cyclical nature of climatic change the earth has seen over the past 4 billion or so years, but we've (mankind) has probably managed to accelerate the process that was likely due anyway.

Well, got down to our shop in Kalispell this morning and it was -17. Too damn cold to start our trucks (too much of a chance of damaging our Cat motors), so now I'm back here at home... Supposed to be like this 'till Thursday...

Hey Matt? Can I ask who ya work for? I drive lowboy for Midway Rental. A couple of our trucks wouldn't start this morning either but 3 did so off I went, I had two pieces of equipment I was supposed to be picking up that didn't tho, and we had a total of 6 pieces that couldn't be picked up today, so tomorrow they are having me follow a service guy around picking them up, he'll be ahead of me charging, heating and starting the equipment. Not very efficient , but....

Kinda off topic, but I'm curious as to what kinda pipe you have?
