Yes exactly. The "crubly-ness" of the white foam adds the perfect texture for spraying the bedliner over. If you spray bedliner over that pink foam you guys are going to end up with little to no traction. The elastomeric wears off in areas that see alot of tire spin VERY quick. You guys also want to be sure that the guy who is sparying the bedliner knows how to get a rough texture. IE a bunch of thin coats. If they spray it too thick all at once it gets smooth.

The smooth spots have about the same traction as ice.

If any one was looking to pick some stuff up to help the build let either Unimoger or my self know, we both have commercial accounts at the lumber yard and get a pretty hefty discount on a lot of stuff

I have all my tools from work, drill, hammer, misc hand tools, caulk gun, pin nailer, Foam gun.

I would like to see someone with a drywall rasp. Other basic tools, drill's, caulk gun, etc maybe a circular saw. hand saws would be good for cutting foam. pretty much what ever you think might be useful.

Here is what we need for supplies.

- 6-10 sheets of 5/8" 4x8' plywood or partical board
- 5 gallons of rock colored Behr elastomeric paint
- couple bags of sand to throw in the paint
- Pink foam board, 1" up to 12" thick sheets, LOT'S of it - believe Ron " yawzer" said he may be able to get this.
- atleast a dozen tubes of liquid nails to glue the foam
- A Spray On bedliner shop to donate the spray to cover the rocks
- bunch of cans of "great stuff" foam spray to fill cracks.
- a set of wooden saw horses for each sheet of plywood.
- fake foam rocks to glue down as well

what we have now.
- Foam sheets from yawzer - Ron
- 8 sheets of 4x8 - 5/8" OSB - Unimoger
- 12 pack of liquid nails - Unimoger
- 12 pack of great stuff- spray foam - Unimoger
- Saw Horses- unimoger

we still need everything else, who is bring what?

we will need for sure, wooden saw horses, 3 per sheet of OSB to hold it up.

post up guys, only 5 more day till build time!

Unfortunatly, I don't forsee me making it again.. But I want to contribute, so if someone is willing to tell me what Behr color mix I need to get from HomeDepot I can do a phone sale. (if there is anyone that can pick it up.) How were you planning on building the saw horses, possibly I can pay for that at the same time.. Alan

Hey Guys! I wanna come crawl with you all so bad, AND help the course build, but my wife (bless her heart) has tucked the purse strings into her chastity belt until after we get back from Vegas. So I won't be able to do anything until after the first weekend in March.
Sorry

Sorry...other than the odd winter trip I'm afraid I'll be a summer only/outdoor member. On-road season is reaching it's crescendo!!

Anybody who's interested in seeing some FAST RC racing we're hosting (as far as anybody can remember) the first ROAR Regional event to be held in Montana. Billings will host the Region 11 Carpet On-Road Championships March 7-8.

Now IF you guys were able to transport the "indoor crawling arena" and let me know, roughly, how much space would be required I'd bet we could set it up at the Regionals for some EXCELLENT crawling exposure. If that would be of interest lmk and I'll see what's what.
