Missoula crawling and/or club

Hello,

I have recently moved to Missoula from points east and have a slightly pimped out Losi mini crawler ready to roll. Does anyone have any advice on where the local spot is, or a club I could get involved with?

Thanks for your time.

Dave

Hi Dave. I haven't really spotted many good spots close to town. The pics I put in the Alberton thread are from the spot I go to quite a bit. Take I-90 west from Missoula to exit 70 (Cyr exit), then turn around and go back east on I-90 to the pull-out/fishing area about a couple miles east of where you go back on the interstate. The rocks are great, there's a few different spots and you'd have a blast with the MRC.

As far as clubs, there are two. There's MTRCRC (Helena) and FVRCRC (Kalispell). FVRCRC has a few members that run the Losi, but I don't think they've had a comp class for it yet. They usually have a comp every other weekend and have a loaner 2.2 rig if you don't have one. Here's the links to their sites.

There's a MTRCRC comp in Helena tomorrow, one on May 2 (location TBA) and then another one in June in Helena.

Basically, what it comes down to is if you want to compete you'll have some driving to do. I'm usually around on the weekends, so maybe we'll have to head out to Alberton one of these days.

Thanks for the tips. I have nothing but time during the day in Missoula. Give me a call sometime. 513 919-1476. I'll charge my stuff.

Now all I have to do is find some live bluegrass music around town.

Thanks again!

Dave, I'm gone truckin' during the week, but Saturdays are usually open as long as there's no yardwork to do :). I'll see what this next Saturday looks like when I get back home and get in touch with you.
