Default Lonepine Scale Fun 11-8-09

Mike wanted to go run our scale rigs today, so it took me a whole second or two to say "Yes"
I swapped out my busted SCX10 transmission for my new one and we hit the rocks....

We need to set up something like the UTRCRC series and rock the scale trucks. I'd drive those rocks

Ya, I could see a Montana Ultimate Scale Adventure in the future
Not much to drive on on that big rock we were on today.... There are quite a few other spots up there, but it's a state park and they like to smack your wee wee if you go off the foot path
There are a few other spots around here, but nothing as good as what we saw in Utah...

There are about 3 or 4 decent spots for scale stuff around here. There are also a couple of decent spots around the lake once the water level goes down for the winter. I never really looked around Seeley Lake. Always too busy driving to Helena to stop and look around. Might be worth a scouting trip
If we could find one good spot around Seeley and pick the best spot over here, then add in Rimini, Norris and maybe Butte, we could put on one heck of a Montana Ultimate Scale Adventure...

where's the Missoula guys? I know up hwy 12 the creek follows the hiway all the way to the border, around the old fort there would be a cool spot and its public land and has potties and parking I'll have to take a drive when I go to visit the 'rents

Red feather is up the creek aswell and has some great rocky areas. That said, I don't really know what areas would be good since I havent seen or been to a scale comp before. But it does have some big rocks that people rock climb on so it would be good for 2.2 I think..lol
