Thanks for the welcome. Been thinkin' and lookin' hard, on-n-off, about this crawlin' deal. Finally pulled the trigger on an Axial package today. Should be here next week sometime. It's pretty loaded and complete enough that I just need to bind the receiver to my Spektrum Tx.

VERY interested in seeing how experienced folks play so please be sure to let us know when ya'll have comps starting late spring through early fall. Crawling will be "off-season" activity when our on-road carpet season ends in April.

ALSO very interested in "scale" trucks and, with appropriate guidance, would be 100% into building one.

best thing for you to do would be to come up on a weekend when we have a " shop day " . You can see all of our projects and do some crawling with us.

PM me or slobin3d and we can let you know when the next one will be. We try to do a shop day on sundays, atleast twice a month.

cmz34--you've got pm

Oh...and I don't want to hear sob stories about 1-2 hour trips to Helena. I've been told it's 3.5-4 hours from here if the weather/roads are decent. Spoke with Ben yesterday eve and am VERY much looking forward to attending a Shop Meeting!! Just have to figure out when but it's looking like mid-late March at the earliest. How's Easter looking ;)

Montana club designation is MTRCRC that was created by Ben and I. Not sure if you guys want you're own club but we would be more than glad to include you guy into our existing club, then we can plan events together and all that fun stuff to make events TONS of fun.

An idea might be to make MTRCRC an "umbrella" club with individual clubs under that umbrella. An example would be, say, from Seattle (where I'm from) there is (or at least "was"...it's been a while) Western Washington Sports Car Council (Dub-Dub as it was known). Under that umbrella (which sanctioned autocrosses, rallies, etc) were all the different Marque clubs (NWDE-Northwest Datsun Enthusiasts, CORSA-CORvair OwnerS Association, NWM-NorthWest Mustangs, etc) and some regional clubs. Same thing holds even in RC for ROAR. Our club, Magic City RC, is a "ROAR-Affiliated Club".

Something to think about, where everybody can maintain their own identity, run separate club championships, etc but belong to an overall group to provide guidance and maybe even a State Championship?

I don't have a problem with that, We would have to sync points for Nat's sake so Montana sends the proper people to the BIG SHOW

FYI you're always welcome to any local comp or shop day here in Helena

Synching points would be the PERFECT excuse for a Montana State Champs series. Are there enough pockets of guys to make something like this a reality? I'm confident we could do an event or two here, guessing the Helena guys could easily do likewise. How about Missoula or Bozeman? Or Glendive?

Also, I spoke with Ben yesterday eve and you can COUNT on me coming to pester the heck out of you at a Shop Day. In fact since we spoke I've cancelled my trip to Denver for a big race there so I need to see how the last weekend in Jan is looking for you'se guys (Jan 26 or 27).

I wanna be in the MTRCRC club! How do I sign up? I don't know many people with rigs right now but I have found a few on here that are in Kalispell or real close by. And Helena or Missoula aren't all that far. So anyway, someone shout back...
