I will definitely be following this build, if you go through with it. HEMMT's are nice trucks.

It would be quite an accomplishment to see done as a scale R/C.

I was at the Oshkosh website the other day looking at the military vehicles trying to get some ideas. I'll be watching this one. Subscribed!

Why dont you make some pass-threw axles? then 1 tranny and less of a chance of CLODSTALL.

Got some work done today, but don't really like it. Not sure if I will change it. Worried about the drive shaft size

I have decided this build will be just inspired by a HEMTT, a semi civilian 8x8. The look I am going for is what I would think a rich redneck would do to a Hemtt if he had money!
I found tires, there semi military scale looking, “2.2 HPI Racing Rock Grabbers”.

Other updates...
-Got 4 more ax10 shocks from Glenn(GGooler)*Thanks for the hook up GLENN!!!
-Limited travel of "8" shocks, total travel is only going to be about 3/4"-7/8"
-Got some "8" beadlocks coming this Saturday, will be painted flat black.

I was looking at that same tire and wheel combo for a Tonka build I am doing. Here is some shots of what those crazy Russians will do with a set of 52's.. The wheel and tire look very similar and if I remember rite the tire and wheel combo work out almost exact for a scale 2.2 wheel and tire.

Looks good so far!
