Its much slower with the 10t pinions in there, and first gear is great for taking it easy. The ratios in the summit trans are pretty wide, so 2nd gear is going to have some speed. It will need speed to get over some obstacles, seeing as how it is 21lbs, and 31.5 inches long

There is nothing to the tire carrier, it just holds the tire and flips down.

No exo cage, I don't see one on the real truck. Not really too much more to do other than a interior and a canvas top for the rear box.

I am going up the hill tomorrow with my brother to drive the tatras, and I am taking my HD camcorder and tripod with me

Should be a blast.

Great videos! I love how the trucks just drive THROUGH the trees and dirt hills. Hey, if your driving Tatra, why go around them? It just doesn't make sense. . .

Drove the trucks for a while up at shaver lake today. I got a lot of pics and some HD video I need to work with.

The truck held up great and I only had two problems, one being that the ESC is getting too warm, and two, the drivelines need to be beefed up. I have everything I need to fix both.

Pics:

RUN!

Enjoy!

My batteries came in yesterday from HK. It only took 3 weeks. I made a parallel battery harness for the two Flightmax 5000mah 3s lipos. I also got a nice volt/temp meter so I can monitor how much battery power I have at a glance. Nothing like driving a truck with 10,000 mah of battery for some long hikes in the Sierra Nevada.

I would like to find some really fine/small size screen/mesh for the side of the motor compartment. I have some old door screen in there for now.

The electronics are mounted in the box, and the box will be covered with a canvas top. I still have tons of styrene strips and square rod to attach for detail on the bed/box.

I also need to fabricate two fuel tanks and start on installing the lights.

I stopped where I'm at because I ran out of Tenax7.

I love it. Just startet on my own 8x8 tatra.

But i have a question, i have not worked very much with styrene, how did you get the details on the picture? Door edge, door knob , and the window edge?

Sweet rig. Any more pics from different angles? What chassis and axles is that based on?
