| Boom Racing T815 6x6
I didn't see this posted anywhere and was wondering has anyone built one of these yet? Looks pretty cool with some good features. BoomRacing T815 6x6 If I wasn't in process on my Beast II and didn't have the P601 on order I would look further into this. |

I like the look of al those metal screws holding the body together. However i dont like the 2+1 axle setup.

| Re: Boom Racing T815 6x6 No need to be so. Yes, Boomracing is chinese and probably for that reason alone many will think it's garbage or a waste of money. I have experienced however that Boomracing is really interested in the users of their products and their experiences. For some vague reason many seem to be believe that how more expensive parts are, the better they will be. Which is not necesarilly true... With new products they ask for feedback on a regular bases and as far i have heard, they actually do something with that feedback. |

The problem i have with Boom Racing is that i dont know when it will be original boom Racing or is it just Integy with a boom Racing label on. I remember Integy had an almost the same looking truck. But have to admit i like the looks. However how does the 2nd axle connect to the 1nd axle. Looks like one driveshaft splits in 2 seperate shafts.. looks very odd. |

I find the 2+1 axles look weird too.. They should have just extended it and made an 8x8. And I wish they would have used black screws instead of silver. | |

Oke that would make sense more. They have an 8x8 also. ANd an 6x6 with a normal set up 1+2.

It looks weird, i have to admit Oh well. Those Russians and Chechs are known for crazy builds. But they also made/make trucks that just didn't break down. Known for their durability and making it through the entire Dakar events. |

I am kind of digging the 2+1 setup. I have 2 6x6 (standard configuration) and this looks like a cool alternative that opens up for some cool body builds for the cab. I also like the 8x8 configuration. The quality looks pretty impressive for what is being identified by most as Chinese crap. I don't mind these off brand products as much as most. The only issue I have is with the generic press-fit link rod-ends. They do not hold up to any force whatsoever and never stay back in once they pop out. |

Did anybody else notice the freaky way they made the rear leafspring? It looks like torque twist would destroy the rear spring set within minutes. The steering looks like it would also be a hell of a mess. They pitched the pinion towards the t case and caused the knuckles to be off, but im sure with some tweaking you could make something of this. Last edited by rcjeepbuilder; 01-31-2016 at 09:04 PM. |
