I appreciate the positive feedback. I'm happy with he way it is coming together. I have to fight the urge to slap in some electronics and just run it. I want to be patient and do things right.

Pretty soon I'll be starting on the tube work. Haven't had much experience brazing so that should be interesting.

Made a lot of progress. Undercarriage is done, electronics are installed and most of the body is done. I still need to finish up the cab and then it will be time to start on the cab cage and bed canopy.

I'm loving this project more each day I work on it. I took it for a spin around the basement tonight. With the 6 wheel steering this thing turns on a dime.

More work to go but here are some pics:

Started working on the cages. You can see how the tubes will trace the cab and its attachment points on the bed and front bumper. Also bent up the bed canopy rails. You can see how the tabs at the bottom of the rails will hook to the bed. Lots more to go. Trouble now if finding a time to fire up the torch when the kids aren't around!

This is one serious rig! I've been watching videos on youtube of these types of trucks in truck trials in europe, crazy! Looking forward to some action videos when you're done!

looking for some advice. on the top i was thinking of running tubes from the center of the center tube to the four corners for extra support. would that be overkill?

so, i want to add some lights but having trouble deciding. i won't be running at night much so it is more form than function. here are the items i'm trying to decide between:

1. Realistic Adjustable Spot Light Set (5) White+Yellow LED for 1/10, 1/8 & 1/5 for R/C or RC - Team Integy
2. Realistic Roof Top Spot Light Set(5)LED with Adjustable Housing for 1/10 1/8 1/5 for R/C or RC - Team Integy
3. 1/10 High Performance LED Light Bar

opinions?

The led lightbar would give it a seriously badass look, very low profile and kind of unassuming. The other 2 are cool for the color and the look but to bulky in my opinion. Sometimes if they aren't attached to a roofrack of some kind, they tend to look like "hair bows" on the head of a truck lol. Just my .02

i think i am leaning towards the lightbar. i wish i could see one in operation to get an idea of how bright it really is. might pick up a second on for m scx10 scaler while i'm at it!

Got more done. Finishing the canvas on the cargo area. Front cage is done and mounted up a rc4wd lightbar (very bright). Also added a few tools to the cage. Just need to finish up the cab.

I also saw a spare tire setup on another 6x6 and liked it so decided to try and replicate it for my truck. Not done yet but looking OK so far.

Got my spare tire racks finished up and they came out nice. Used some delrin blocks to hold in a rod going through the lower tube of the swing out rack. Also came up with a nifty spring loaded pin to keep the rack down.

Getting very close. Need to paint the cab, add headlights (since the grill has the buckets already) and tailights (drill some buckets in the rear bumper) and strap on some addition scale accessories. I'm even thinking of adding a fuel tank under each side in front of the rear wheels.

I did get it out on my practice rock course yesterday and was really happy with how it rode. Love watching all those axles articulate!

Got the cab painted and everything mounted up. Looks tough. Needs a few more accessories but other than that it is ready to rock. If I can get the funds I think I'm going to consider hooking up a rc4wd big dog trailer and pull my other baby ( jebster's scx10 ).

I did take a quick video of the truck running around the basement showing the articulation but I have to figure out how to get it loaded up. In the mean time here are some pics.
