Hi, The rear shaft is too short. With big flex they pull out |

those driveshafts could work fine. the real question is how much flex do you have and what is the distance between the axles. if you have huge flex with closely spaced axles there isn't much you can do to keep the shafts from pulling apart. it's a balance. i had to work that awhile on my 6x6. in the end i wanted the axles close together because of the look so i did limit the flex.

distance between the axles (135.5mm - 5.33 inch) : Max flex : Yes, it's closely spaced axles. I need just a little bit longer inside the shaft. I trying Traxxas shaft. If 'is not OK, I limit flex... Thanks jebster Last edited by patoff; 07-29-2013 at 07:09 AM. |

you might want to try different shafts. if you look at post #22 in my build thread (jebster's 6x6) it seems like i have a similar axle spacing but the shafts i use seem to have a longer engagement than yours. i believe mine are stock scx10 driveshafts i cut down.

Nice project jebster With two front directional axles you have better steering than 2 fixed rear axles |

That is one very nice 'mog. I reckon it'd look good on either RC4WD 1.55 Desert Kings stretched over Gmade VR01 1.9 rims or RC4WD Mickey Thompson 1.9 MTZs on RC4WD Pro10 1.9 rims. Also, are you going to put an interior in because if you do, PLEASE hook the steering wheel up to a servo. It would finish the build off perfectly. But that's just my few cents worth!

Hi TrilloThrillo110, It's a low cost build : No new tire and no rotated steering... maybe next year... I make chain for snow: I assembled 94 chains FAIL : I remove 2 chain meshes on front wheels : And a new yellow beacon light : I wait two Bullhead gaz tanks Last edited by patoff; 10-02-2013 at 04:14 AM. |
