This truck is massive. 32 pounds is no joke and it's hard on parts just driving around on 3.5 acres, no rocks. I changed the front scx shocks out to 2660 traxxas big bores. Three hole pistons, 80 weight oil, traxxas black - firm springs, plus Losi mini T rear firm springs, Jeepindoug crawler cups, and the shock has limited up travel with an 8mm spacer. A dual stage shock: ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

Nice idea on the mini-t's inside the regular springs. And yes, I forgot to paint the driveshafts after cutting and welding. Last edited by Szczerba; 10-02-2014 at 08:27 PM. Reason: qski |

The addition of the Losi Mini T Rear springs raised the chassis and cab considerably. The front suspension isn't nearly bottoming out now, it's sitting comfortably at mid travel: ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

Thanks. I'm considering doing the same to the rear spring packs you made for this rig in order to stiffen up and raise the chassis and suspension. And this rig has soo many details, it's easy to miss a few things. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound...

| Re: Szczerba's Tow Rig The way the rear "Springs/shocks" are setup, you can just put a spacer between the axle rod end and the jeepindoug cup. I made the all thread pieces a little longer than needed. Or you can make some new longer all thread pieces too. Or get the shorty GMade 60mm shocks and cheat. |

This thing is crazy, after i started reading i was really happy to see it was actually finished! I have no practical reason for one but i like seeing these multi axle rigs come together.

| Re: Szczerba's Tow Rig Thanks. Eddie at Crawler Innovations was key to lighting a fire back under this build as I had stalled out on it.

Way to go guys that beast is awesome looking. In 1-1 it'd the worlds baddest show truck/tow pig. Definitely one the baddest rc rigs yet it'll b hard for someone besides Yall to top this one.

Finally got a chance to work on Eddies tow rig. Got all the stuff built for the rear interior area, now I just have to paint them and make lexan windows. |

I saw a 1:1 for sale on CL and thought of this build immediately. If Eddie only carried his stuff around on a semi he could have a match to the Rc version. Here you go. I found it. I'll be expecting it to have a similar treatment as the rc version. http://allentown.craigslist.org/hvo/4995225377.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapascrap Last edited by tgh117; 06-08-2015 at 07:49 PM. |
