[QUOTE=Szczerba;4543044 I am kind of skeptical of the two pass though setup but I'll go with it and test if before I decide.[/QUOTE]

just curious what your concerns are?

20lbs rig plus a string of driveshafts going through 2 axles before it gets to the rearmost axle. Not really a concern just thinking about it to see what some other options are.

Aight. I'll shoot you my addy so you can donate 5 Pro4's. The 5th one will be hooked up to a GRU winch.

Parts will start rolling in tomorrow.

On my HEMTT I am running an original emaxx 2-speed trans and an axial trans as a transfer case. I have a single 35t motor powering it until I pick up the motors I will use and with the gearing it has now there is plenty of grunt. The trucks not finished yet so I don't think it weighs 20-lbs but it is already the heftiest truck in my fleet and with the single motor it will crawl right up my carpet covered basement steps. I'm also have no issue with the pass through axles as of yet but mine are in a different configuration although I don't think it would make a difference.

Sounds good. Pictures of rig?

I have a build thread. I've made a little bit of progress but haven't taken any pics. Mostly just trying to all the bugs worked out of the drivetrain and suspension before finishing up the cab and building an engine cover.

8x8 HEMTT project

My axles are all stock internals so with the gearing change of yours I'm sure you won't have any issues. I'm not sure what the gearing is on the emaxx two speed so I don't know what my final drive ratio is.

Oh yeah, I have seen your build. Looks good. From my first CXT build, I knew I needed to go with the under drive gears on the rear drive axles. So I had to order up 5 sets to get two extra output pinions.

Thanks. Debating on stretching the CXT cab I have in transit or leaving it stock length, or chopping it down like my other CXT. All parts but the electronics and TRANS will be in by this Friday, I hope. Build progress will pick up soon.

I've been missing having a multi-axled rig every since you bought my old K2-6 rig a few years ago. Watching this thread isn't helping anything.

I still have those 2.2 converted Hummer wheels and narrowed Flat Irons to put onto something.

I have no experience with changing the gearing in the axles, did that help with the turning radius or something by having them in the rear axles only? The turning radius on my HEMTT isn't horrible but better is always.. well better.

Revolver S Torquemonster 550 would be badass! I'm sure it could handle 4 axles on 4s +

the revolver s torquemonster 550 is a beast of a motor. 1500kv it spins a little slow but is torquey as hell.

That rig that I built off what you started is still running today. I saw some pictures of it a few months ago.

Yes underdriving the rear axles help with crawling and turning.

It'll be 3S for now. Ill let John pick a motor for it once I get it mostly done. He recommended the Holmes Sensored Out-runner and its awesome on my 15lbs CXT rig.

That will probably be the motor I go with if Mr. Holmes gives the nod.

Some more parts rolling in. Waiting on springs and tires.

CXT cab is here and getting some repairs.

Thanks this one is being built to keep me busy in some spare time.

The CXT body I got was in rough shape so I started mending it last night enough to where its back to one piece. There is still work to be done on it.

The axle mock up i have is not going to work with this body at full length, so I have some options.
1. Extend the front axle out about 2-3"
2. Chop the body down to a single cab like my other CXT and shorten the wheelbase up a touch.

Tips, comments, suggestions?

I think you should use the full cab. It's too long for the shortened cab.
